Welcome to Whitecross Dental Practice in Stranraer. Our friendly local practice offers a wide range of dental services both NHS and private treatments. Our experienced clinicians have a wealth of experience from general dentistry to hygienist services, cosmetic dentistry, teeth straightening and dental whitening. Our practice has wheelchair access we have a surgery located on ground level. There is a bus service a short walk from the practice and access to free parking. Dr.Aleksandra Nemec Female Qualified from: Lek Dent Wroclaw, Poland, 1987 GDC No: 102793

Dr Aleksandra Nemec DDS graduated from the Medical Academy in Poland in 1987. In 1997 she completed a post graduate course in Comprehensive Dentistry. Ola joined the mydentist team in 2006 as a general practitioner Her passion and interest is in aesthetic dentistry including creating beautiful smiles with teeth straightening, tooth whitening and using non-invasive dentistry to rebuild broken teeth. Ola recently completed her studies at the Domininc Hassal Institute, and was awarded a Certificate in Comprehensive, Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. In her spare time Aleksandra enjoys many sports including, golfing, playing tennis. She also finds time for cooking, gardening and photography, and especially likes to take pictures of the sky.
Dr.Silvia Popa Female Qualified from: DMD Romania, 2007 GDC No: 255472

Dr Silvia Popa DDS obtained her dental degree in Bucharest, Romania in 2006. She moved to Scotland in 2015 and joined the mydentist team in Stranraer. Silvia is a general dental practitioner who has extensive experience in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, in addition to this she has a special interest in Oral Surgery and Dental Implants and she is currently furthering her extensive knowledge studying for an MSc in Oral Surgery and a PG Certificate in Implant Surgery. When she isn’t caring for her patients or studying she enjoys running and reading & spending time with her husband and two children.
Miss.Laura Monteith Female (Therapist) Qualified from: BSc Oral Health Science Scotland, 2012 GDC No: 226599

Laura is a dual qualified Dental Hygiene Therapist who graduated from Dundee University in 2012 with a BSc in Oral Health Sciences. Laura has been with the practice since 2015. She is skilled in the prevention and treatment of gum disease, and also tooth decay in both adults and children. She is committed to giving the right advice based on the individual needs of each patient she treats. To ensure her knowledge is up to date, she likes to complete courses throughout the year. She does her best to ensure each visit to the dentist is a pain free and positive experience for each of her patients. What she finds the most rewarding is helping patients overcome their fears and helping them improve their confidence. Outside work, Laura enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and walking her dog with her partner and son.
