Case Study 2 Crossbites

This patient had crossbites on the right and left of the mouth and was treated initially with Rapid Maxillary Expansion (RME) followed by upper and lower fixed braces. This treatment took 22 months to complete but the patient felt it had all been worthwhile when seeing the final results.

Case Study 1 Overcrowding

Overcrowding of teeth is a common complaint and can be very unsightly. If the crowding is not too severe then extractions (removal of teeth) may not be necessary. In this case the crowding was too severe and four teeth were extracted followed by 13 months with fixed braces. A very nice result was achieved.

Case Study 4 Missing Teeth

A surprising number of people have missing teeth. This patient had missing upper lateral incisors and a missing upper premolar. In a carefully planned course of treatment over a period of 27 months, we created space for two upper lateral incisor implants using upper and lower fixed braces.

Unsurprisingly this patient’s complaint was that she did not like the spaces between her teeth. She was treated with upper and lower fixed braces for just over a year. She was delighted with the result but will need to wear her retainers really well to maintain the result.

Cosmetic Crowns and Bridgework

This lady came to us as she wanted to replace her old, uneven crowns. She was unhappy with the shape, size, and colour of her crowns and also the denture that she had. After an appointment with her Dentist Muneera to discuss her options, we replaced her old crowns and made a bridge to replace her old denture.
