Ruben joined the myDentist Durham Team in January 2025 as a DWSI in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Since graduating from Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2007, he has dedicated his career to advancing his expertise in the UK. He has enjoyed continued study, gaining several qualifications, including an MClinDent in Restorative Dentistry with an Endodontic interest from Newcastle University, and a range of postgraduate courses that have enhanced his skills in the field. Since 2014, he has been providing Endodontic and Restorative services at a specialist level. He is highly skilled and dedicated on preserving natural teeth through advanced Root Canal Treatment (RCT) and Endodontic Surgery, managing even the most challenging cases.
We are delighted to have Ruben as part of our team with such a high dental skillset to provide to our patients. We are also accepting referrals from other practices who wish to refer for Routine/Complex RCT, Advance restorative care and full mouth rehabilitation.
Outside of his passion for his superb dentistry in the UK, Ruben loves nothing better than travelling back home to Spain to enjoy time with his wife and three children

Deepthi Penukonda GDP

Deepthi qualified in India in 2004, and went on to take the Statutory exam in 2008. She has continued to build upon her skills and in 2015 completed a Masters degree in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Manchester. Deepthi has completed the Dr. Brian Franks Facial Aesthetics courses I Foundation, Lip Augmentation and Dermal Fillers. She has completed many hours of courses in post-graduate dentistry and is dedicated to the newest advancements in aesthetic dentistry and keeps up to date with the latest technologies. Deepthi is committed to providing patients with quality clinical care and ensures that patient care always comes first. When Deepthi is not practicing her passion for aesthetic dentistry, she spends most of her time with her lovely husband and children and is an avid cook.

Divya qualified as BDS Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University from india in 2007. She finished her statutory exams in 2010, vocational training in the UK in 2014 and has been with the {my}dentist ever since. Divya has a friendly, caring approach and especially enjoys treating children. She prides herself on being a people person and has eased the fears of many nervous patients. Spending time guiding and explaining their treatment step by step to allow them to be fully in control of their dental treatment, thereby gaining their confidence in dentists. Divya is also qualified as a provider of ClearCorrect, a form of removable clear aligners used for teeth straightening.

Dr Alex Vizireanu GDP

Mr Alex Vizireanu qualified from Bucharest University as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2004. In the following year, he received postgraduate training in oral and maxillofacial Surgery while also acquiring a degree in general medicine in 2008. Dr Vizireanu relocated to the UK in 2009, where he gained extensive NHS dentistry experience while retaining a keen interest in oral surgery and dental implant treatment. He is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has also received further academic and clinical training through the ITI and other Straumann-affiliated programmes. Dr Vizireanu achieved his highly acclaimed Master's Degree in Clinical Implantology from the University of Central Lancashire in 2024. Dr Vizireanu accepts straightforward and advanced implant case referrals and provides a wide range of prosthodontic, aesthetic restorative and endodontic solutions for all challenges. Dr Vizireanu divides his spare time between family commitments and athletic interests, such as open-water swimming and distance running.

Denyse Conlon Hygienist

Denyse is a seasoned dental hygienist with over three decades of experience since graduating from Newcastle University in 1989. Her commitment to improving oral health extends beyond the clinical practice. She has had the privilege of working with a dental hygiene products company, training dental staff to provide expert advice on the optimal use of various oral hygiene products. In practice, Denyse has an extensive list of loyal regular attending patients where she provides both the classic clean and sparkling clean air flow treatment which can support in removing tooth stains giving her patients the confidence to smile. Outside of Denyse's professional life, she takes immense pride in being a mother to two wonderful adult daughters. Her passion for dental health, combined with years of hands-on experience, allows her to provide top-notch care and personalised solutions to her patients. She looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the field of dental hygiene.

Meena Miah Therapist

Meena qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2023 at Newcastle University, graduating with a merit in clinical dentistry. She joined Durham Bridge House in 2024 with a wealth of up-to-date knowledge and skill set in general dentistry. She has thrived in her role, becoming a popular member of the team with both patients and staff. She offers treatments such as fillings, perio treatment and airflow stain removal and is passionate especially in aesthetic and paediatric dentistry. She has a bubbly personality and always puts even the most nervous of patients at ease. Her friendly approach is also evident as she guides and advises patients on the treatments they’re having and what oral hygiene products are recommended to use. Outside of practice Meena loves to read and spend time with friends and family.
