Dr Ajitkumar Mistry qualified from Cardiff University in 2019 and recently returned to the North after spending six years working in South Wales as both a foundation dentist and an associate dentist. During this time, he gained valuable experience across a wide range of treatments and developed a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Ajitkumar enjoys many aspects of dentistry and has continued to build on his skills through further training since qualifying. He has a particular interest in oral surgery, as well as providing dentures and bridgework to help patients restore the function and appearance of their smiles. He has also carried out aesthetic treatments, including veneers and composite bonding, helping patients achieve results they feel confident and happy with. Known for his empathetic and caring approach, Ajitkumar is dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their treatment. He takes pride in providing the best care he can and is committed to continually expanding his knowledge to ensure his patients benefit from modern techniques and approaches in dentistry. Outside of the practice, Ajitkumar enjoys swimming and running. He has completed several marathons and half marathons both in the UK and abroad.

Dr Ciprian Ulianov qualified in 1995 gaining his DMD from the University of Iasi (Romania). Ciprian moved to the UK in 2014 and joined the Queensferry practice in 2018, and recently joined our Prestatyn team as a private clinician. Ciprian works as an NHS and Private clinician and has special interests in restorative dentistry and oral surgery. Ciprian is always smiling and has a lovely relationship with his patients.Away from dentistry Ciprian is a foodie and likes trying new restaurants, he is fluent in 6 languages so loves to travel especially to watch Formula One racing, and he takes a keen interest in history and politics around the world.

Gemma Thomas GDP

Dr Gemma Thomas qualified from the University of Bristol Dental School in 2015. Following graduation, she completed her dental foundation training in Liverpool, where she lived and worked for 10 years before moving back to the local area and joining the practice in April 2025. Gemma provides both NHS and private dental care and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. She is passionate about creating a calm and welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and discussing their oral health concerns. Her friendly and approachable manner helps patients feel at ease throughout their appointments, allowing them to play an active role in their dental care. A strong advocate of preventative dentistry, Gemma enjoys educating patients of all ages on how to maintain good oral health and prevent dental problems in the future. She believes that providing patients with the right knowledge and support is an important part of delivering high-quality care. Outside of the practice, Gemma enjoys spending time with her family and reading. She is also a keen tennis player and enjoys getting out on the court whenever she can.

Johnathan Lucke GDP

Dr Lucke qualified in 2005 from the University of Manchester Dental school and joined our Practice soon after to complete his foundation training. Since then he has continued his Post Graduate education and went on to do his membership examination (MFDS) with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 and then transitioned to the Faculty of General Dental practitioners, ensuring he stays at the cutting edge of modern dental techniques. He sees NHS, Private and Denplan patients. His interests include root canal treatment, aesthetic crown and bridge work and composite bonding and veneers. Away from Dentistry he spends time with his family and enjoys hill walking and skiing.

Meenal Salvi GDP

Dr Salvi qualified in 1995 (India) then went on to complete her statutory exam in 2011 MFDS Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow. Meenal joined our practice in 2021 after transferring from one of our North Wales practices and works as a Private and Practice Plan clinician. Meenal has a Msc in Endodontology which she gained at the University of Chester, this enables her to see complex endodontic cases, she has also completed a composite bonding course. Meenal provides high quality dental care to her patients. Away from dentistry she loves to read, cook for her family, and enjoys classical Indian dancing.

Qasim Mahmood GDP

Dr Mahmood qualified in 2002 from the University of Manchester Dental School, he joined the practice in February 2004.Qasim sees NHS, Private and Plan patients and has a special interest in Orthodontics. Qasim ensures that he is at the cutting edge of dentistry by attending regular courses and Dental Seminars.Qasim regularly treats patients who have been under his care since he joined the practice and he is dedicated in providing high quality care to all his patients.Away from dentistry he enjoys cycling, current affairs, reading and drinking coffee, but most of all he loves spending time with his family.

Vijaya Laxmi GDP

Dr Laxmi is an experienced Dental Surgeon, qualified in 2001(India) and completed her full-time master’s degree in Orthodontics in 2004 from the prestigious Dr. NTR University of health sciences, India. Vijaya completed the statutory exams in 2013. She then worked as a senior house officer at the Countess of Chester Hospital before finishing her vocational training in Ellesmere Port. Vijaya has been working in North Wales since 2015 and joined the practice in 2018. In the quest for newer and enhanced skills and to provide a wider range of treatment options for all her patients, she has completed training to be able to provide conscious sedation for anxious patients and has gained her MSc in Advanced Restorative Dentistry from the University of Manchester. Vijaya also has a PG Certificate in Dental Law & Ethics. In her spare time, Vijaya likes to garden, listen to music, spend time with her family and her German Shepherd.

Claire Louise Williams Hygienist

Claire Williams began her career as a Dental Nurse, where she developed a passion for patient care and preventative dentistry. Committed to furthering her knowledge and clinical skills, she gained additional qualifications in Oral Health Education, Dental Sedation Nursing, Dental Radiography and Implant Dental Nursing before qualifying as a dental hygienist from Bangor University in 2025. Drawing on her experience within the dental team, Claire is dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles through education, prevention and personalised care. She takes a gentle, friendly and patient-centred approach, ensuring every patient feels comfortable, supported and confident throughout their appointments. She particularly enjoys helping nervous patients feel at ease and empowering people of all ages to improve their oral health. Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on both of her children at football matches and keeping active. In 2025, she proudly completed the London Marathon. She also enjoys making the most of the North Wales coastline whenever she can.
