Its that time of year again where kids get to decorate bonnets, go on egg hunts and enjoy some quality family time. It’s an exciting weekend for children but one that certainly takes a toll on their dental health. At mydentist, we recently took a wonder round the shops to see how much sugar is in the popular Easter treat – much to our dismay!

This month is Mouth Cancer Awareness Month and at mydentist we’re raising awareness of the role your dentist plays in early diagnosis of the disease. Head and neck cancer rates are rising and they are now the eighth most common cancer in the UK. As with any cancer, early diagnosis is vital which is why we recommend visiting your dentist regularly.

Our clinical charity is Bridge2Aid, which provides dental treatment and training in remote rural areas of Tanzania. The charity was established in 2004 and so far has provided safe dental treatment to more than five million patients.

At mydentist we’re thrilled that one of our specialist orthodontists, Trevor Hodge of The Beverley Orthodontic Centre, has become one of only four British clinicians to achieve membership of the European Board of Orthodontists (EBO)
