Dr. Pratik Agarwal Implantologist Qualified from: Statutory Exam 2017 BDS Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra 2012 GDC No: 274996

Dr Pratik Agarwal has a special interest in dental implants and Invisalign® teeth straightening, helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalised treatment tailored to their individual needs. After qualifying in dentistry in India, he completed an advanced three-year Master's degree in Prosthodontics, developing extensive expertise in restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry. After passing the Overseas Registration Examination (ORE), Pratik moved to the UK, starting his dental career in London before relocating to the South West in 2020. Since then, he has continued to provide high-quality care, helping patients improve both the function and appearance of their smiles. Pratik offers a wide range of private treatments, including dental implants, Invisalign® treatment, teeth whitening with Enlighten and Zoom, crowns, bridges, dentures and cosmetic dentistry. He is passionate about creating tailored treatment plans that reflect each patient's goals and circumstances, ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout every stage of their care. Aleksandra Angelovska GDP Qualified from: DDM Medical University of Plovdiv 2008 GDC No: 188489

Aleks studied at the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, graduating in the year of 2008. In 2010, following her graduation, Aleks took the opportunity of practicing dentistry in the UK and moved to sunny Torquay with her husband, who is also a dentist at the Union Street {my}dentist branch. Aleks does a mixture of both NHS and private work in practice and has shown interest in expanding her skill on composites in the future. In her spare time Aleks enjoys tending to her vegetable patch in the garden, experimenting with cooking and spending quality time with her husband and 3 children.

Asen Tuparev GDP Qualified from: DDM Medical University of Plovdiv 1999 GDC No: 170445

Asen studied at the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, graduating in the year of 1999. After graduating, Asen practiced in a private practice for 7 years mainly doing restorative work. Asen took the opportunity of practicing dentistry in the UK in 2009, where he relocated to Devon due to its beautiful coastline and seaside towns, it is here that he started working for {my}dentist. Like his work in Bulgaria he was mainly doing restorative work but also started cosmetic. Asen enjoys spending his free time going for walks around the Devon countryside and finding great places for trying new foods.

Grzegorz Mentel GDP Qualified from: Lek Stom Katowice 1994 GDC No: 84112

Greg qualified as a dentist at the Silesian Medical University in Katowice Poland in 1995. He worked in general practice for one year after which time he started his studies in Specialisation in Oral Surgery. Greg also worked in the Maxillo Facial and Oral Surgery department in the County Casualty Hospital. During this time he dealt with victims of serious accidents. Greg also worked in private practice. He moved to the UK in 2004 with his wife and their daughter and joined mydentist. He has an NHS contract and also provides a range of private treatments including implants.Gregs' interests include modern jazz, electronics and walking his dog.

Maciej Targowski GDP Qualified from: Lek Stom Lodz 2000 GDC No: 84777

Maciej qualified at the Medical University of Lodz, in Poland in 2000. Once qualified he then held positions in several hospitals and a private practice in Poland. In 2005 Maciej and his family relocated to England to work for {my}dentist in Abbey Dental Centre in Torquay. In 2008 Maciej took a position in a local practice in Teignmouth and then in February 2017 he returned to work again for {my}dentist in Torquay. During his career Maciej has studied further courses and now holds a Professional Diploma in Endodontic sciences. Maciej lives with his wife and two children and in his spare time he likes to swim, cycle and play volleyball.

Marcin Kubiak GDP Qualified from: Lek Stom Szczecin 1998 GDC No: 84810

Marcin qualified at the Medical Academy of Szczecin in Poland in 1998. After graduation Marcin had his own practice with his wife where he offered all aspects of private dentistry and had a special interest in crowns and bridges. In 2005 Marcin relocated to England to work for {my}dentist at the Terrace Dental Centre in Torquay. Marcin offers a wide range of private cosmetic treatments including crowns, bridges, dentures and composite fillings. In March 2017 Marcin became qualified to offer Invisalign Go, an almost invisible cosmetic teeth alignment treatment. Marcin lives with his wife and three children and in his spare time enjoys skiing and playing tennis.

In 2016 Monika studied with Dr Brian Franks and became qualified in facial aesthetics including wrinkle reducing injections and facial fillers. In 2018 Monika returned to Brian Franks and completed a masters and a advanced course in Aesthetics, she now practices fillers which are designed to improve skin hydration and elasticity and can treat hands, neck, face and décolletage.Monika also is qualified in treatments for teeth grinding and teeth clenching as well as advanced techniques for lines under the eye, brow shaping, lifting of the top of the nose and perioral lines.Hyperhidrosis which aids excessive sweating is another procedure that Monika is trained in. Monika has three children and in her spare time she enjoys playing tennis.

Olubunmi Albert GDP Qualified from: Statutory Exam 2008 GDC No: 142201

Bunmi studied at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria, graduating in 2003. A year later Bunmi made the decision to move to the UK, beginning her GDC registration exam for oversea dentistry in 2005. Along side this Bunmi was also doing a master’s degree in dental public health at the University College of London, graduating in 2006. In April 2008, Bunmi qualified via the IQE and moved back to Nigeria where she started work in a private practice, Faces and Braces Dental Clinic. Later, Bunmi moved her work to the Lagos State Ministry of Health as a Senior Dental Officer/ School Health Program Coordinator, providing dental and medical services in state owned schools, as well as medical and dental outreaches in the communities in and around Lagos State. Bunmi was then approached by {my}dentist in April of 2021 and made the decision again to move back the UK where she started working in our Torquay practice. Her family have since joined her in Devon in which they love long walks and focus on the fun side of life.

Rose-Marie Perry Hygienist Qualified from: Diploma Dental Hygiene Cardiff University 2014 GDC No: 199210

Rose first started work as a student dental nurse in both Brixham and Torquay where she discovered her interest in hygiene. Rose then went on to study Dental Hygiene (DipHE) at Cardiff university, where she qualified in 2014. After graduating Rose came to work for {my}dentist in Torquay, however she has also worked within general private, NHS, community and hospital environments. Rose is able to offer a wide range of treatments for the management of periodontal disease as well as the management of dental implants. In her free time Rose loves to travel different countries, go on long walks with her dog Freddy, enjoys the music and atmosphere of festivals and explores new cafes and restaurants for places to eat.

Peter Okonkwo, joined the Clinical team here at {my}dentist in 2024 after being awarded his GDC registration in Dental Therapy and Hygiene.Peter offers both private Hygienist services including Airflow as well as taking referrals from our dentists for NHS treatments such as fillings , periodontal treatments and extractions for children he practices across several practices in the local area currently. Peter has 8 years of clinical experience overseas as dentist and holds a Masters degree in Advance General Dental Practice, completed at the University of Ulster, United Kingdom. Peter is very much settling into the bay and is enjoying exploring everything the area has to offer in his spare time.
