Joanne qualified as a dentist in Leeds and gained experience in hospital dentistry across paediatrics, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and orthodontics. She completed three years of specialist orthodontic training at Eastman Dental Institute and Watford Hospital, earning a Master’s in Orthodontics from UCL. In 2010, she qualified as a specialist orthodontist and was awarded the J K Williams gold medal for top marks nationally. Joanne then trained for two more years to become a hospital consultant, specialising in managing complex orthodontic cases, including jaw surgery, multiple missing teeth, and patients with complex medical needs. She worked at Sheffield Dental Hospital and Rotherham Hospital, treating complex cases and teaching students and orthodontic trainees. Joanne holds leadership roles within the Royal College of Surgeons and the NHS and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. She offers a variety of teeth-straightening treatments for children and adults, including fixed metal braces, Iconix, clear/ceramic brackets, and Invisalign. Joanne accepts both self-referrals and referrals from dental practices. Committed to excellence, she strives to provide the best possible outcomes for her patients.
Outside work, she enjoys running and cycling, often riding with her two young daughters in a bike trailer
