Dr Dharanie Kumar is a caring and experienced General Dental Practitioner with almost 20 years of experience in UK dentistry. She qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2002, and later achieved her UK Statutory Exam qualification in 2007. Committed to ongoing professional development, Dharanie completed an MSc in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry at the University of Manchester between 2012 and 2014. She has also undertaken further training in implantology, continuing to expand her knowledge and skills throughout her career. Dharanie is passionate about providing personalised, patient-centred care and believes in taking the time to listen to her patients and understand their concerns. She works closely with each individual to ensure they feel comfortable, informed and involved in their treatment decisions. She particularly enjoys supporting nervous and anxious patients, helping them build confidence and feel more at ease when visiting the dentist. Her clinical interests include endodontics (root canal treatment), smile makeovers, composite bonding, whitening, cosmetic crowns, veneers, dentures and implants. Outside of dentistry, Dharanie enjoys driving, dancing, cooking and gardening, as well as spending quality time with family and friends.
