Chris qualified in Dentistry from Leeds University in 2003. Following vocational dental training in Yorkshire, he gained experience in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery, General Dental practice, the community dental service and Paediatric Dentistry before taking a gap year to travel. He then taught at LDI before further experience in Paediatric Dentistry.
He completed his Specialist Orthodontic training at Bristol Dental Hospital and the Royal United Hospital, Bath, gaining Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons and completing a Doctoral Degree. He undertook advanced Orthodontic training to Consultant level at York Hospital and LDI and was appointed as Consultant in Orthodontics at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield, 2014. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Training Programme Director for Dental Core trainees at Pinderfields. He is a reviewer for several dental/orthodontic journals.
Chris provides private Specialist Orthodontic treatment from Love Your Smile in Leeds, Yorkshire, using a range of aesthetic appliances including Invisalign and fixed braces.

Dr.Joanna Amos

Jo qualified as a Dentist from Leeds in 1999 and she then worked as a general dentist until her twins were born. She joined our award-winning orthodontic team, here at Love your smile in 2011 and has thoroughly enjoyed her work, along with the fantastic results we have achieved.
She is now working along side our Orthodontist, Mick, to finish orthodontic treatment for some of our current patients, to make sure they achieve the smiles they deserve.
Jo has been great to work with and we wish her all the best.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her young family.

Dr.Michael Amos

Mick has worked with us for more than 13 years delivering teeth straightening treatments for Children and Adults. He has been an integral part of our team. He is currently finishing off his current treatment cases in Love Your Smile, Leeds, Yorkshire and is no longer accepting referrals himself.
All of our new orthodontic patients will now be seen by one of our Consultant trained Specialist Orthodontists, Dr Chris Barker or Dr Joanne Birdsall.
Some of the treatments that Mick has provided here include, Invisalign, Fixed metal braces and Clear fixed braces.

Dr.Naveed Hussain

Dr Naveed Hussain graduated from the University of Leeds in 2016 with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery. He then went on to study a Masters degree gaining a Merit in his Masters and a Distinction in his research. He presented his Masters research at the National Conference of the British Prosthodontic Society. He then completed his Foundation Training in the competitive London scheme. Following this, he completed a surgical residency in Brazil and a 2 years Masters programme in Dental Implantology, graduating with a Distinction. Dr Naveed has also had research published within the European Journal of Prosthodontic and Restorative Dentistry. He has completed advanced restorative and surgical training nationally and internationally allowing him to carry out sinus lifts, hard and soft tissue regeneration and full mouth implant-supported rehabilitation treatments.
Currently, he works across several practices in Yorkshire as a Dental and Implant Surgeon offering patient-centric, complete and comprehensive care to ensure patient satisfaction, aesthetics and optimal function.
In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, reading, socialising with family and friends and going to the gym.
Dr Naveed welcomes all surgical and implant referrals.

Dr.Shaheer Aasim

Shaheer graduated from India in 2000 with special interest in Endodontology. In 2005, he gained Clinical Masters in Endodontics and has since been accepting endodontic referrals. To date, Shaheer has carried out more than 9,500 root canals treatments and undertaken numerous surgical endodontic cases, providing endodontic care utilising the operating microscope and microsurgical instruments. In 2007, Shaheer gained the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and his dedication for endodontics has also led him to complete a MClinDent degree. He has worked in the Department of Restorative Dentistry in various dental hospitals in Scotland, gaining extensive experience in Restorative and Endodontic clinics, treating cases deemed too difficult for general practice. During this time, he developed his surgical endodontic skills and worked with other consultants in a multi-disciplinary team.
Shaheer has publications in international journals and is a passionate teacher who has lectured around the world, conducting endodontic courses for young budding dentists and has recently qualified as “Dentsply Sirona Certified Trainer” from Bellaguis, Switzerland.
He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, British Dental Association, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, British Endodontic Society and European Society of Endodontology.

Miss.Joanne Birdsall

Joanne qualified as a dentist in Leeds, she then undertook many posts in hospital dentistry including, paediatrics, restorative dentistry, oral surgery and orthodontics. Joanne undertook three years of specialist training whilst undertaking a Masters in Orthodontics at UCL.
She qualified as a specialist orthodontist in 2010 with J K Williams gold medal for the top marks in the country. She went on to undertake 2 more years of training to become a hospital consultant specialising in management of complex orthodontic problems including jaw surgery, management of multiple missing teeth and complex medical needs. Joanne worked at Sheffield Dental Hospital and Rotherham Hospital treating complex cases and teaching students and dentists training to become orthodontists. She enjoys leadership roles at Royal College of Surgeons and within the NHS and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Joanne works at Love Your Smile, Leeds, Yorkshire, offering teeth straightening treatments to children and adults, including Invisalign, ceramic and lingual/ invisible braces and can offer the most appropriate treatment for your problem, lifestyle, and income. Joanne strives for excellence and aims to provide patients with the best that can be achieved.
Joanne enjoys cycling and running and can often be seen cycling with her two young daughters in a bike trailer.

Miss.Lisa Boyes

Lisa qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2004. She then found her calling in orthodontics in 2005 and has never looked back.
Gaining extra qualifications as an Oral Health Educator in 2018 and Orthodontic Nursing in 2019, these courses set Lisa up to be able to train as an Orthodontic Therapist where she qualified in 2020 from the University of Warwick.
Lisa works with us 5 days a week and works alongside all our Orthodontists here at Love Your Smile.
Lisa is currently undertaking the Dental Radiography course to better herself which will allow her to take an even bigger part in our patients journey.
She is bubbly and friendly and an integral part of our team.

Miss.Molly Quarmby

Molly started working at the {my}dentist Orthodontic Centre in Hunslet 6 years ago. Within this time Molly qualified as a nurse and soon became head implant nurse. Molly has worked closely with specialists in the practice and has gained a variety of knowledge in orthodontics, implants and endodontics. Molly has recently decided to develop within the company and is now the treatment coordinator at the practice and is happy to help with any enquiry’s you may have. Part of Molly’s role includes; assisting patients throughout their patient journey, setting up financial contracts, arranging local events for referring dentists and ensuring that patients and dentists are kept up to date with our practice treatments.

Miss.Rebecca Marshall

Beckie started her dental career at the practice in 2012 as a trainee dental nurse. Qualifying as a dental nurse in 2014, she soon took on extra duties including implant nursing, endodontic nursing and helping the treatment coordinator. In 2015 Beckie became the full-time treatment Coordinator where she was the point of contact for all our private patients, assisting them throughout their journey, ensuring they have an exquisite experience at the practice. Beckie has a wealth of knowledge in Orthodontics, implant dentistry and more, and so was and still is able to discuss patient’s treatment plans with them at length.
Beckie is now the permanent practice manager at the practice and is responsible for the health, safety & welfare of her staff and the patients. Part of Beckie’s role involves educating & training the practice team, assisting the treatment coordinator in organising events for patients or referring dentists, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and that the practice is compliant.
She enjoys leading an amazing team, helping her team develop their careers, being part of the patient journey and ensuring that the practice lives up to its great reputation.

Miss.Shreena Raja

Shreena qualified as a dentist from Birmingham University in 2014, with
honours and clinical distinction. She subsequently completed her training in
general practice and at the Leeds Dental Institute in maxillofacial
surgery. Shreena joined {my}dentist in 2016, where she has developed
a good rapport with patients, which has helped her deliver
personalised care to a high standard. She particularly aims to ensure that
anxious or nervous patients are at ease and continue to receive good
quality, regular dental care.
Shreena is passionate about the prevention of oral disease and aims to educate patients on how to maintain a healthy mouth and beautiful smile. She
regularly attends postgraduate courses and has a particular interest in
cosmetic dentistry, including providing whitening treatments, clear
aligners, cosmetic bonding, white fillings and
crowns, with an individually tailored approach.
Overall, Shreena aims to provide a high quality service in a patient centred,
approachable and painless manner.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling, meeting new people and
experiencing different cultures.

Miss.Zoe Bakal

Zoë started working in dentistry in 2000. She has worked in many different dental departments including restorative, maxillofacial & orthodontics, she especially enjoys working in orthodontics as it helps people with their confidence & self-esteem. Graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2018 she has continued to develop her knowledge & skills. Zoë works at Love Your Smile alongside our specialist orthodontists to ensure our patient journeys are seamless. She is an integral part of our team and her dental nursing experience alongside her orthodontic therapy experience means that she fully understands the workflow, making life easier for our nursing team, creating a beautiful environment for our patients to be seen in. Out of work she enjoys dancing, travelling & spending time with her with family.

Mrs.Rebecca Manning

Becca is originally from Torquay, Devon. She started dental nursing in 2008, qualifying in 2010. She soon “upped sticks” moving to Leeds for the first time. She gained a wealth of knowledge from different practices before moving back home in 2013. In 2015, {my}dentist merged 3 practices in Torquay, where she continued to thrive and learn. She undertook the implant course and worked with clinicians specialising in oral surgery and endodontic treatment. Becca moved to Leeds permanently in 2019, and chose a different path in Orthodontics. She has been orthodontic nursing since. She works with the specialist endodontist Shaheer Aasim and loves endodontic treatment – It’s her passion. As well as working with many clinicians and nursing for different treatments, she is radiography trained so can take x-rays and has also taken on the role of dual treatment coordinator. With her experience, she’s able to help patients understand more about their treatments and is able to put them at ease with her excellent patient care and empathy. In spare time, she enjoys Ten Pin Bowling, and has done this since being 10. She’s bowled for England and won various events-her best achievement-winning a silver medal in Vienna, representing England.

Jo is very patient and has a friendly approach to patients. She works here on Fridays, and is happy to see patients who aren't registered here.
