Dr.Daniel De Jager

Danny has many years of experience in general dentistry having trained originally in Pretoria, South Africa, and has been at Tonbridge Dental Centre since 2003. He treats many families in the local area through several generations and his new patients often come as referrals from his current patients. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, in particular, placing comfortable dentures, conventional crown and bridge work and root canal therapy. He has a ground floor surgery will full disabled access. When Danny is not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and two grown up children and the odd round of golf.

Dr.Filippos Matsakas

Filippos qualified in dentistry from Aristotle University in Greece. After working as a dentist for the Greek military, he relocated to the UK. His passion for restorative dentistry has been his driving force and he has completed his Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute (London) in 2015 with Distinction. Since arriving at Tonbridge Dental Centre, Filippos’ friendly and empathetic nature has made him a firm favourite with patients. He provides implant solution based dentistry ranging from single tooth replacement, to bridges and denture stabilisation using the Straumann implant system. He enjoys working with modern techniques and materials to ensure predictable results with minimal intervention. Filippos has compiled a portfolio of advanced restorative and periodontal cases and can offer treatment under conscious sedaton. His particular interest is in restoring the worn dentition as well as treating gum disease patients. In his spare time, Filippos loves cooking and living healthily.

Dr.Gareth Williams
(Orthodontist)

Gareth gained his initial qualification as a Dental Surgeon in 2005 from the University of Wales in Cardiff. While studying he won numerous awards including the Magdalen Morgan Scholarship; the JWS Laboratory Award and the Dental Defence Union Audit Award. Gareth gained his second degree, a Specialist Doctorate degree in Orthodontics, from Liverpool University in 2009 – the same year that he was awarded membership to the Royal College of Surgeons. Here he won the Liverpool Orthodontic Shield; a Membership in Orthodontics case prize and the Geoffrey Fletcher Scholarship to undertake further research in the United States.
He has worked and trained in various parts of Wales, England, and Australia and enjoys achieving excellent results for his patients. Gareth has a wealth of experience in all forms of orthodontic appliances and treatment types. In his spare time he enjoys cooking a variety of foods as well as climbing.

Dr.Lastelle van Wyk

Lastelle graduated as a dentist in 1984 from the Stellenbosch University in South Africa. She also obtained a post graduate diploma in restorative dentistry in 2001. She practiced in her own private practice for 10 years before moving to the UK in 2003. Lastelle has been at Tonbridge Dental Centre since 2005 and has a very loyal base of patients. She strives to deliver excellent and honest dental work. Lastelle has travelled the world with her husband and two daughters, and has also lived in Canada and Namibia. Lastelle is a keen lover of great food and wine and all outdoor activities. She also enjoys the cinema and some retail therapy in her spare time.

Dr.Leon Bellingan

Leon has been with Tonbridge Dental Centre many years and is very well known in the Tonbridge area due to his large following of patients. He qualified from Stellenbosch University and relocated to the UK in 2003. He has a special interest in root canal therapy and carries out this procedure for referring dentists. His motto with dentistry is to “Keep it Simple”. With that in mind, he works closely with our specialists, to ensure his patients have the very best treatment under one roof without the need for endless referral letters between practices. Away from work, Leon has three grown up daughters who all live in different continents which ensures he keeps his air miles topped up. He is keen golfer and is consistently improving his handicap and when the weather clears up he is also an amateur gardener.

Dr.Michael Menes Boulis
(Dental Implant Surgeon)

Dr Michael Boulis qualified from Liverpool University in 2000 and in 2014 completed a postgraduate Master’s training programme in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, at Kings College London which he was awarded a distinction.
In 2008 Dr Boulis also completed the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF RCS Eng) and for over 5 years was a Foundation Trainer for the London Deanery, training newly-qualified dentists.
Dr Boulis was a clinical teacher at Kings College London from 2012 until 2015, and in October 2019 he completed a 4 year specialist training in Prosthodontics, at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute in London.
Dr Boulis has been an active member of his Local Dental Committee representing dentists in London between 2005 and 2016, and in his spare time he enjoys playing tennis and football.

Ms.Gemma Clark
Qualified from: Dip Dent Hygiene RCS United Kingdom, 2011

Gemma qualified from the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital in London in 2012. Prior to her training in dental hygiene, Gemma worked here as a dental nurse for two years working with most of the dentists during this time. Gemma grew up in Maidstone and attended Maidstone Grammar School for Girls. After A-Levels she went to University College for the Creative Arts and studied a Foundation Art and Design Course. It was during this time that Gemma decided to get a job here at Tonbridge Dental Centre as a dental nurse, which led to her qualifying as a hygienist. Gemma leads a very active lifestyle, she has three dogs and often goes home to walk them at lunch. Gemma also enjoys running and going to the gym.
