My name is Jake Thomas and I joined the practice in 2012 after graduating from Newcastle dental school. I’m very passionate about dentistry and treating my patients to the highest standard with a very caring approach. I have completed additional training in restorative dentistry and Invisalign orthodontics to offer my patients a wide rang of dental treatments to address all their clinical needs. Outside of dentistry I try and stay active and I’m the captain of a (very unsuccessful) 5 a side team and play in a local competitive league. Im also a bit of a foodie and I like to try different restaurants around the north east.

Julia was awarded her Bachelor in Dental Surgery from the University of Newcastle in 1991. She became a General Dental Practitioner in South Shields, and soon realised she had an interest in Orthodontics. She started working as a Clinical assistant in Orthodontics at Sunderland City Hospital in 1995, and soon transferred to South Tyneside District Hospital. In 1995 she was awarded her Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. Over the years Julia reduced her time doing routine dentistry and increased her orthodontic commitment. Around this time the hospital orthodontic service ceased and she joined the team at Dean Road Dental Practice working as an Orthodontic Practitioner.
Outside of dentistry Julia is married with two horses, she enjoys skiing and travelling – where possible trying to combine them both.
