Sharaniah Balakrishnan graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Glasgow in 2022. Since qualifying, she has been dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred dental care in a calm and welcoming environment. She understands that visiting the dentist can be daunting for many people and takes pride in helping patients feel at ease by listening to their concerns, explaining treatment options clearly and providing gentle, compassionate care. Sharaniah has a particular interest in restorative dentistry and enjoys helping patients improve both the function and appearance of their smiles. She is committed to providing evidence-based treatment and regularly attends courses to further develop her clinical skills and knowledge. By keeping up to date with advances in dentistry, she aims to ensure her patients benefit from current techniques and approaches to care. She also hopes to pursue specialist training in restorative dentistry in the future. Outside of work, Sharaniah enjoys travelling, keeping fit and spending quality time with family and friends.
