Dr Basim Dawoud is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon on the General Medical Council (GDC) Specialist Register for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care for a wide range of oral and maxillofacial conditions, helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their treatment journey. After graduating in Dentistry from the University of Manchester and Medicine from the University of Leeds, Dr Dawoud completed higher surgical training and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FRCS OMFS). He remains actively involved in research, education and innovation, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr Dawoud accepts referrals for wisdom tooth removal, routine and complex dental extractions, impacted teeth, jaw cysts, oral soft tissue lesions, facial skin lesions, TMJ disorders, and facial deformity, including complex deformity secondary to temporomandibular joint pathology. He also offers intravenous sedation for anxious patients and works closely with specialist orthodontists. He welcomes referrals from general dental practitioners, specialist orthodontists and other healthcare professionals.
