Dr Ainsley Smith graduated from the University of Manchester in 2004 and began his dental career in Sandbach before joining the Winsford practice in 2013. Since then, he has continued to develop his knowledge and skills through advanced postgraduate education, completing a PGCert in Restorative Dentistry with Tipton Training in 2013 and an MSc with Distinction in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from the University of Manchester in 2015. He is currently studying for a PGCert in Teaching and Learning in Clinical Practice at Edge Hill University. Alongside his clinical role, Ainsley is actively involved in dental education. He trains graduate dental therapists and dentists, works as an Educational Supervisor for Dental Therapists and is an Honorary Tutor at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital, supporting the development of postgraduate dentists. As a restorative dentist, Ainsley focuses on stabilising oral health to prepare patients for more complex restorative treatments. He has a particular interest in high-quality denture work and managing advanced tooth wear cases, helping improve patients’ comfort, function, and quality of life. In 2023, he began providing ClearCorrect aligner treatment. Outside of dentistry, Ainsley enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
