Why is hearing health so important?

Did you know that 1 in 6 people in the UK experience some level of hearing loss, and that almost half of the population has never had a hearing check?

Hearing is more than just a sense - it plays a vital role in how we communicate, connect, and enjoy the world around us. From conversations with loved ones to staying safe in everyday environments, healthy hearing enriches every part of life.

    Audiology FAQs

What hearing services are now available at mydentist Morley?

We now offer hearing services at the practice, including free hearing assessments, hearing aid consultations, ear wax removal, tinnitus support and ongoing aftercare.

Who will carry out my hearing appointment?

Appointments are provided by qualified audiologists from The Hearing Care Partnership, a family-run business with nearly 20 years’ experience in hearing care.

How much does a hearing test cost?

Hearing assessments are completely free. If you need further treatment or hearing aids, your audiologist will explain all the options and costs clearly.

Do I need to be a dental patient to book a hearing appointment?

No, you don’t need to be registered with mydentist for dental care to access hearing services. Anyone is welcome to book.

What are the signs I might need a hearing check?

You may benefit from a hearing check if you notice you’re turning up the TV or radio, finding conversations harder to follow, asking people to repeat themselves, or feeling that sounds are muffled.

How often should I get my hearing checked?

It’s recommended to have your hearing checked every 2–3 years, or sooner if you notice changes. Regular checks can help identify issues early and support long-term hearing health.

What if I already wear hearing aids?

Support is available for servicing, repairs, and adjustments, as well as guidance on the latest technology if you’re thinking about upgrading.

How do I book an appointment?
