Accessibility
At mydentist, we’re committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, whatever their technology or ability. We want everyone to be able to find clear, helpful information about our services and manage their dental care online with confidence.
This page explains how accessible our website is, how to report any problems, and what we’re doing to improve.
Using this website
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. This means you should be able to:
- Change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
- Zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- Navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader
We design and build our digital services with accessibility in mind and review them regularly against recognised standards.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility
Our website is tested periodically against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard using a combination of automated tools and manual checks, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing.
We’re taking a structured approach to improving accessibility across our website, including:
- Carrying out regular accessibility reviews
- Improving colour contrast across templates and key components
- Improving heading structures and landmark regions
- Ensuring links and buttons have clear, descriptive labels
- Including accessibility checks as part of our website development and release process
Accessibility improvements are prioritised based on their impact on patients and website users.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard.
Known accessibility issues
We’re aware of a small number of accessibility issues on parts of the website, including:
- Some text and buttons that do not always meet minimum colour contrast requirements
- Some pages that do not always use clear heading structures
- Some links or controls that do not yet have fully descriptive labels for screen reader users
These issues may affect people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or who have low vision or colour blindness. We’re actively working to address them as part of our ongoing improvements.
Enforcement procedure
If you’re not happy with how we respond to your accessibility feedback, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), who provide advice and support on accessibility and equality issues: https://www.equalityadvisoryservice.com/
