Dr.Abu Bakar Hussain

Abu Bakar qualified in 2021 from Newcastle University, UK. After achieving his BDS he undertook a 12 month training post at the {my}dentist Advanced oral health centre in St Ives, during his training he was mentored by clinicians with interests in implantology, endodontics, periodontics and removable orthodontics.
In 2022 Abu Bakar accepted a post in his hometown and joined our team at {my}dentist Werrington village. One of Abu Bakar’s favourite aspects of dentistry is developing a relationship of trust with each and every patient. He has a warm chairside manner and understands how stressful a visit to the dentist can be for many people, this has helped him treat many anxious patients over the years.
Dr Hussain is currently undertaking a course with one the world’s leading implant providers; Straumann. Dr Hussain enjoys all aspects of modern dentistry with a particular interest in implants, removable orthodontics (teeth straightening) and tooth extractions. He provides Clear Correct aligners, tooth whitening, cosmetic fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges and dentures. Dr Hussain is looking forward to proving implants to replace missing teeth and allow his patients to smile with confidence.

Mrs.Joanna Welch

Jo qualified as a dental hygienist in 2005 at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Jo is a highly skilled and knowledgeable hygienist with over three decades of experience working in dentistry. Jo started her career as a dental nurse at age 17 in an N.H.S practice and then joined the Royal Air Force as a dental nurse in 1998 before retraining as a hygienist and qualifying in 2005. Jo then left the R.A.F in 2007 and has been working in both N.H.S and private practices since then and joined {my}dentist in 2019. Jo is known for her outstanding ability to make even the most nervous of patients feel at ease. Patients will often leave Jo’s surgery with a huge smile on their face. Not only is Jo passionate about supporting her patients with their daily dental oral health routines through advice and demonstrations; she is also very supportive and collaborative with the practice team to ensure that her patients receive the best overall care for all their oral health requirements. In her spare time, Jo enjoys spending with her family travelling around the U.K. and Europe in her motor home.

Ms.Erum Khan

Erum Khan has developed excellent clinical and laboratory skills in dentistry and regenerative dentistry respectively. She is experienced in interdisciplinary research of developmental biology and tissue regeneration.
After graduating in dentistry in 2005 she completed her PhD in dentistry in 2012 School of Dentistry, University of Birmingham and published many articles in international journals. Also, she has developed her teaching and training experience in academia and dental research.
Erum passed her Licence of Dental Surgery Part 1 with RCS England in 2021. She qualified for her membership exams MDS RCS Ireland in 2021 and MJDF RCS England in 2020. She is mastering her skills in facial aesthetics.
Erum Khan is a GDC-registered dental hygienist and dental therapist. She liaises efficiently with a dental team and always keeps the patient interest first. She intends to develop a fantastic rapport with patients through communication skills and patient-centered care. Erum always focuses on continuous professional development with clinical knowledge and management skills to provide safe and excellent dental care.
Erum Khan is a member of the Fellow of General Dental Practice (MFGDP) England, International Association of Dental Research (IADR) and a member of the British Association of Dental Therapists (BADT).

Ms.Ramandeep Kular

Ramandeep is a GDC registered Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist. She is registered under section 36 C of the Dentists Act 1984 in the year 2020 in the UK. She has successfully cleared her Overseas Part 1 registration examination in the U.K.
Ramandeep is an overseas qualified dentist. She completed her B.D.S in 2008-09 in India. She has vast experience working as a Dentist from 2009-2013. After graduating in Dentistry she completed her Masters in Hospital Administration in 2015. She has successfully worked with many hospitals in India before moving to the U.K.
Ramandeep worked with NHS Professionals and the U.K Health Security Agency (previously called Public Health England) during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has worked with many Private and NHS practices as a Dental Hygienist.
Ramandeep enjoys working with all members of the dental team to give patients a holistic approach to dental care. She is especially keen on prevention and creating tailored oral hygiene regimes for each patient. She regularly completes training courses to keep up to date with new techniques.
When not working Ramandeep likes spending time with her family.

Dr.Alexandru Buciu

Dr. Alex is a highly skilled dentist who graduated from Ovidius University (Romania) in 2004 . With a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Alex is truly passionate about helping his patients achieve their best smile. He loves to do composite restorations (white fillings) and also has a strong interest in helping patients that have bruxism (grinding and clenching of teeth, or pain with the jaw joint). Dr. Alex is known for his friendly and approachable manner, and always aspires to deliver the highest possible level of professional dental care. He has an empathetic and special approach towards nervous patients. Dr. Alex describes himself as a “real geek” as his favourite activity is attending dental courses and studying the newest articles about teeth so he can be up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry. He has spent over 80,000 hours of training/working in dentistry so far, which is a testament to his dedication to his profession.

Dr.Sara Garcia Sanchez

Sara qualified in Madrid, Spain, in 2007. Soon after qualifying she moved to the UK and she joined the Werrington practice in 2009. Sara has been working within the practice since then, so she has been a member of the practice for 15 years. Sara enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but she is particularly focused in restorative dentistry and endodontics. Sara gained her Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice at the Eastman Dental Institute in 2018 and she is currently undertaking her Postgraduate Msc in Endodontics at King’s College London.
Sara is very approachable and friendly and has excellent rapport from children and nervous patients.
Outside dentistry, Sara enjoys gardening, exercise and spending time with her family and four dogs.
