Our orthodontic practices have now opened and are offering a limited range of treatments.

Prioritising patients in need

Our practices are prioritising patients in need, including anyone who has suffered pain or other problems during lockdown. Please do not try to book a routine appointment, such as a check-up, just yet. We will advise you when you can.

Please don’t visit our practices for any reason unless you are asked to do so.

Welcome to Rotherham ortho centre. Located in the Rotherham area, we provide the highest quality of orthodontic care in a warm, welcoming and professional environment. Whether you’re a teen ready for your first fixed appliance or an adult interested in invisible options – we cater to everybody’s needs, with a mixture of private and NHS options.   • Miss.Caroline McCarthy (Orthodontist) Qualified from: BDS, M MedSci Oral Surg Sheff,United Kingdom, 1997 GDC No: 73283
    Caroline is a Consultant at Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Trust and also works at the Orthodontic Centre Sheffield and Rotherham. Having qualified from Sheffield University in 1997, Caroline worked in general practice and childrens dentistry before completing a Masters degree in Oral Surgery, with distinction. She completed her specialist training at the Royal London Hospital, with a Masters in Orthodontics in 2003 and specialist qualification in 2004. A further 2 years of Consultant training brought her back to Sheffield.
  • Mr.Alex Taylor (Orthodontist) Qualified from: B.D.S.(Newc.) M.MedSci.(Sheff.) D.D.Orth.RCPS(Glas) United Kingdom, 1980 GDC No: 54236
    Alex qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 1980 from Newcastle and went into general practice in North Notts. before getting the orthodontic bug. He did his Masters at Sheffield in 1986 at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and later that year got his D.D.Orth from the Royal college, Glasgow. Alex established the practice at Ecclesall Road in 1989 and moved to the present building in 1994. Mr Taylor has enjoyed treating many patients from Sheffield and further afield for the last 32 years, and now has the honour of being able to treat the children of the children. Out of work Mr Taylor enjoys spending time with his family.
  • Mrs.Tania Murphy (Orthodontist) Qualified from: BDS, MMedSci(Oral Surg), MFDSRCS(Ed), MMedSci(Orth), MOrth, FDS(Orth), FDS(Orth)RCS(Ed) United Kingdom, 1996 GDC No: 71901
    Tania is a Specialist Orthodontist,and works part-time. She has extensive experience of providing high quality orthodontic treatment to patients and is passionate about improving smile aesthetics of both children and adults. Since qualifying as a dentist from the University of Sheffield in 1996, Tania continued to develop her expertise and obtained her first Masters degree in Oral Surgery in 1999, was awarded her Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in 2000 and in 2002 achieved her second Masters degree in Orthodontics. In 2003 she achieved Membership in Orthodontics, from the Royal College of Surgeons, England which led to her being recognised by the General Dental Council (GDC) as a Specialist in Orthodontics. In 2005 she gained the Fellowship in Dental Surgery (Orthodontics) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Tania undertakes all aspects of Orthodontic work. She offers Invisalign and conventional fixed appliance systems including the tooth-coloured Radiance Plus Out of work, Tania is a busy mum of two children. Her main passions are watching live music, food and travel which she likes to do with the whole family
