Why chose mydentist, Moor Allerton

mydentist Advanced Oral Health Centres are committed to providing you the best treatment possible in a safe, state of the art practice. By using the latest digital work flow technology mydentist, Moor Allerton reduces the need for messy impressions. We will often use digital scans to make a virtual model of your mouth and then using 3D printers we create a surgical guide, which in turn means more accurate placement of the implants. mydentist, Moor Allerton has been equipped with state of the art technology to help our team of dental implant surgeons provide the very best service to our patients.

Intraoral scanner
The intraoral scanner replaces the need for taking impressions. Used for treatment planning and after the implants are fully integrated with the jaw, the clinician will create a 3D digital model of the mouth before making the new crown or bridge. This used to mean taking several impressions with a dental putty, but our new intraoral scanners allow the clinician to create a digital 3D model of teeth and gums with no mess. The clinician simply moves the scanner around the mouth in a process that takes around two minutes. This results in a highly accurate, 3D digital model that helps create crowns that seamlessly blend with existing teeth.

CBCT Scanner
In many cases, implant patients will be required to have a CBCT scan to provide the dentist with vital information needed to proceed, including factors such as bone density and location of nerves and sinuses, and to help guide the placement of their new implants. mydentist, Moor Allerton has an in-practice CBCT machine, meaning that our patients have no need to travel elsewhere for their scans.

How long does treatment take?

Every patients need is different and so treatment length will depend on the type of implant you are having, the health of your mouth, gums and bones. Our experienced Implant Surgeons ( Dr .Mohamed Badr ) and their teams will keep you well informed though before the treatment and every step of the way, and will provide you with a detailed treatment plan that will set out the time frames involved in your implant journey. For more information book a FREE consultation for an assessment of your needs.

Your Treatment Co-ordinator

Your treatment co-ordinator will be on hand every step of the way, starting with your initial consultation. They will help you understand each stage of the implant process, what to expect, and discuss the various finance options available.

  • Consultation Your initial consultation will be with either our Implant Surgeon or Treatment Coordinator (TCO), who can discuss the different types of implants, single or multiple depending on your need. Following this there may be a need for a more clinical focused consultation.

  • Diagnostic Scans We will carry out a number of digital scans, to build a digital 3D model of your mouth so we can get a clear picture of the area we will place the implant, and a more detailed X-ray using a Cone Beam Computer Tomography scanner so that our Implant surgeon can assess the state of the bone below the gum to get a really clear picture of your treatment need.

  • Treatment Plan Once our experienced implant surgeon has assessed all of you scans they will explain the nature of your treatment, the stages involved and costs. We offer flexible payment options to make implants even more affordable.
