Kris graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1997 after winning several undergraduate prizes. He has experience working as a general practitioner and also worked at Birmingham children’s hospital as part of the Maxillo- Facial team. During this time he obtained, via examination, membership in the faculty of general dental practitioners (Royal College of Surgeons London) and a membership in the faculty of dental surgeons (Royal College of Surgeons Ireland). In 2002 Kris entered 3 years of full time formal training culminating in examination at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh to become a Specialist Orthodontist. Kris was successful in obtaining his membership in Orthodontics and was also awarded a master’s degree. This provides the recognition that he has followed the highest standard of training possible in Orthodontics in the UK. Kris was awarded a Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Kris will strive to do the best for his patients, offering both comprehensive and short term orthodontics, using systems comparable to ‘Six month smile’, ‘ Quick straight teeth’ etc. The most common brace systems include Metal, Ceramic, Gold fixed braces, clear aligners such as Invisalign and Clear correct as well as Incognito.

Ellie started her career in dentistry in 2009, working at a few different general and orthodontic practices over the years. Ellie began working at Malvern Orthodontic Centre in 2016, and soon after secured a place at Bristol University to study Orthodontic Therapy. Ellie qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist in 2017, and now works at our practice full time, working closely alongside our Specialist Orthodontist Dr Llewellyn, which she enjoys thoroughly as it helps her gain a deeper knowledge in Orthodontics more and more every day. Ellie has also gained extra qualifications in Radiography, Impression Taking and Oral Health.

Jo began working in the dental industry in 2007, and soon developed a keen interest in orthodontics after working in both general and orthodontic practices. Jo then progressed to study Orthodontic Therapy at The University of Central Lancaster, qualifying as an Orthodontic Therapist in 2013. Since qualifying Jo has worked in a few different orthodontic practices, helping her gain deeper knowledge and experiences in all aspects of orthodontics, whilst treating a variety of patients. Jo also works closely alongside our Specialist Orthodontist Dr Llewellyn, working together to achieve the best possible results. She enjoys seeing the transformations in her patient’s smiles.

Dr Mehrali qualified as a dental surgeon from The University of Birmingham in 1995. She then obtained further postgraduate dental qualifications from The Royal College of Surgeons and the University of Bristol. Dr Mehrali has worked at Malvern Orthodontic Centre for over 20 years, offering a wealth of experience and expertise. As well as playing a vital part in the provision of NHS orthodontics for children at the practice, working alongside the Specialist Orthodontist, Dr Mehrali also offers a wide range of adult orthodontic options, including Invisalign, Incognito, Ceramic and Metal fixed braces, Six Month Smile and Quick Straight Teeth. Dr Mehrali is currently undertaking her Fellowship in General Dental Practice and is soon to embark on an MSc in Aesthetic Medicine at The Queen Mary University of London.

Dr Songra qualified from the University of Bristol in 2004. Over the years he has worked in primary, secondary and tertiary care, and held posts in Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative and Paediatric Dentistry at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn and Manchester Dental Hospital. Dr Songra also worked as a Community Dental Officer, working with patients with a dental phobia and severe learning difficulties. Dr Songra undertook his orthodontic training in Taunton, and continued his post-graduate training at Bristol Dental Hospital and Royal United Hospital, Bath. He has experience in treating a range of malocclusions in children and adults, and specialises in the management of complex orthodontic cases in conjunction with dental specialities, as part of a multidisciplinary team approach. Dr Songra is currently the Consultant Orthodontist at the Royal Worcestershire Hospital, and works at Malvern Orthodontic Centre every Wednesday evening, providing private orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign, Incognito, and cosmetic fixed appliances.
