Dr.Dragos-George Popescu

Dr. Popescu qualified as a General Dentist (DMD) in 2004, at University of Timisoara and started his career as an Associate General Dentist with a special interest in Endodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry. After 10 years his desire to continue his training and education led him to complete a three-year master’s degree in Orthodontics also at the University of Timisoara.
Dragos became interested in Orthodontics as it requires to consider a multitude of factors including: functional occlusion, periodontal health, smile aesthetics, facial balance, airways, TMJ health, stability, whilst, placing all this into the context of a coherent treatment plan that addresses the needs, expectations, and goals of the patient. He enjoys, the challenges presented and problem-solving aspect of orthodontic malocclusions, as well seeing the results of his treatment planning, whether it is a beautiful smile, or better function.
Dragos is keen to connect with his patients and team members, he endeavours to be a clear communicator who is happy to fully explain and discuss all treatment options, answer questions, and strives for perfection with every patient.
In his spare time Dragos enjoys spending time with his family and plays tennis when time allows.

Dr.Nicky Henderson

Dr Nicky first trained as a dentist in Edinburgh, then accumulated a range of experience in various branches of the profession including a year lecturing at the University of Otago, New Zealand. She attained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England before training to be an orthodontist at London’s Eastman Dental Institute, obtaining a research MSc, and became a specialist in 1998. Since 2005 she has worked exclusively in private practice treating mostly adult patients, and has extensive experience in providing a range of appliances for all types of problems. She loves living in the country, enjoys running, cycling and generally keeping fit, plays brass instruments and keeps bees.

Miss.Olivia Lewis

Olivia started her career in dentistry in 2008 when she emigrated from Australia to the UK. After coming to the UK she trained in Dental Nursing in 2012 and Dental Radiography in 2013. She then specialised in Orthodontic Nursing and at Leeds Dental Hospital in 2015 gained the diploma in Orthodontic Therapy.
In 2016 she moved to Somerset to join the Orthoworld team. She is passionate about providing a high standard of care to her patients and ensuring they are well supported throughout their treatment journey. In her spare time she is an avid baker and enjoys making cakes for special occasions for friends and family.

Mrs.Alison Yendell

Alison qualified as a Dental Nurse in Wellington New Zealand whilst living out there for almost 3 years.
After returning to the UK she continued her career working as a Dental Nurse for a private Periodontal practice in Surrey from 1997 to 2001. Then relocated London from 2001-2003 again in the periodontal field of dental nursing.
In 2003 Alison was asked to return to Surrey and work in a mixed Specialist Private Practice which included Implantology, Oral Surgery, Periodontology and Endodontics.
2009 Alison moved to an Orthodontic practice and whilst there realised she wished to pursue a career as an Orthodontic Therapist.
After studying at Warwick University she qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist in 2015.
Alison enjoys working as part of a team and also finds Orthodontics very rewarding. She enjoys getting to know and encourage and motivate patients through their Orthodontic journey.
Outside of work she enjoys spending her time with her family especially her young son who she says keeps her on her toes and never fails to entertain. Alison also enjoys travelling, photography, reading and running.

Mrs.Judi Macdougall

Judith qualified as a dental nurse in 2002 and joined the Orthoworld team in 2004. Judith then went on to complete NEBDN Orthodontic Nursing Qualification in 2006 and NEBDN Specialist Radiography in 2007. After 3 years’ experience in Orthodontic nursing Judith then went on to complete her qualification in Orthodontic Therapy in 2009 at Warwick University.
Judith has had experience of working in a hospital setting, Private and NHS dentistry within the North and South Somerset areas. Amongst this Judith has also had experience of working for the Primary Care Trust with patients with special needs and learning difficulties.
Judith enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, tourism and keeping fit with cross fit.

Mrs.Christine Coleman

Chris started her dental career in general practice working with all ages of patient and assisted with NHS and Private adults, children and patients with special needs, developing experience in such areas as minor oral surgery, restorative dentistry, sedation and assisting with patients with periodontal problems. Chris is a qualified Dental Nurse, Orthodontic nurse and has a certificate in dental radiography, she has also obtained an advanced certificate in therapeutic counselling skills.
After moving into orthodontics in the 1990s Chris has worked in all areas of the practice including nursing, reception and admin. Since becoming our treatment co-ordinator some years ago Chris has developed her role enabling her to assist our Orthodontists and support the team, undertaking extensive training and personal development including attending courses on Invisalign and Lingual braces.
Chris has become our first point of call for patients (of any age) who may be interested in exploring the options available to them for private orthodontic treatment, helping them to understand the financial options and assisting them throughout their treatment journey. She is an indispensable member of our practice team with her extensive experience, quiet efficiency and warm manner with patients.
