Welcome to {my}dentist Western Road, a 7-surgery practice in the Hampshire town of Andover. You can find us set back off Western Road towards Blue Hayes Close with onsite parking behind the practice. There are also bus stops on Western Road for those needing public transport links. We are providers of both NHS and Private treatments, including our {my}options affordable private scheme for more flexible appointments, without the private price tag. Some of our available treatments include Invisalign and ClearCorrect teeth straightening options, Teeth Whitening, Facial Aesthetics and Hygiene appointments.

    Dr. Chandra Dokuru Qualified from BDS Stat Exam India, 1998 GDC 116178 Dr Chandra Dokuru graduated from Government Dental College and Hospital Vijayawada, India in 1999. He passed his Statutory Exam, UK in 2007. He has also updated his skills by completing Invisalign Go and Mini Smile Makeover courses, which he is now able to offer a range of treatments including Clear Correct, Invisalign and Enlighten. Chandra has a great rapport with all of his patients, and this shows with his loyal patient base. He has been a long-standing dentist within the company and has had patients move with him from one practice to another. Chandra is the mischievous one of the practice that enjoys pulling pranks whenever he can on the staff. Chandra really loves to travel but only when he can pull himself away from his beloved surgery. He also enjoys time with his wife and 2 children.

    Mr Bikram Malla qualified as a Hygienist in 2010 from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He worked in the Royal Army Dental Corps until 2015 when he joined {my}dentist. Bikram says “There is nothing quite like the feeling of helping a patient improve their oral health and confidence – it is the most satisfying part of my job.” Bikram’s priority is ensuring primary oral health and he can provide Periodontal treatment to his patients. Bikram also devotes time to Dental Charity and has a Degree in Mathematics. Apart from Dentistry (and mathematics) Bikram loves to spend time with his wife and daughter, he enjoys mountain biking, running and football – and recently climbed to Mount Everest base camp and also climbed to Annapurna base camp with his 9 year old daughter and family.

Swathi has a great rapport with all patients for being very patient friendly and passionate about delivering a quality of treatment and providing oral health care advice. Swathi is always sweet to both her patients and colleagues. In her spare time, she loves cooking and spending quality time with her husband and their two sons.

What are dental implants?
Dental implants are a fixed solution for missing teeth that are the closest possible replacement for natural teeth. They involve one or more titanium screws being inserted into your jawbone to mimic a natural tooth root. Dental crowns are securely attached to these to fill the gaps in your mouth. Because dental implants are securely anchored in your jaw you’ll have the confidence to comfortably eat whatever you like.

  • Consultation Your initial consultation will be with either our Implant Surgeon or Treatment Coordinator (TCO), who can discuss the different types of implants, single or multiple depending on your need. Following this there may be a need for a more clinical focused consultation.

  • Diagnostic Scans We will carry out a number of digital scans, to build a digital 3D model of your mouth so we can get a clear picture of the area we will place the implant, and a more detailed X-ray using a Cone Beam Computer Tomography scanner so that our Implant surgeon can assess the state of the bone below the gum to get a really clear picture of your treatment need.

  • Treatment Plan Once our experienced implant surgeon has assessed all of you scans they will explain the nature of your treatment, the stages involved and costs. We offer flexible payment options to make implants even more affordable.

  • Commence Treatment Once you are happy we will begin treatment. The length and numbers of appointments will vary depending on the complexity of your particular need, but your Implant Surgeon will have detailed all of this in your treatment plan.

  • Implant Placed Once the implant(s) are placed it may be necessary it might be necessary to allow time for healing before attaching the replacement teeth. Once we are happy the implant has healed we will arrange a series of appointments to fabricate the replacement teeth.

  • Aftercare Your Implant Surgeon will advise you about looking after your implant and may well give you some painkillers to help with the pain over the days after your surgery as well as detailed advice about cleaning the implants and the teeth attached to them.
