Dr.Alexanne Hood

Alexanne graduated from Newcastle Dental School in 2017 and joined the Haslingden team in 2020.
Alexanne understands that oral health greatly impacts wellbeing and is passionate about a preventative approach to dentistry. She is friendly and approachable, aiming to make every visit as positive and informative as possible for her patients. She has a wonderful patient rapport with numerous 5* google reviews mentioning her name.
Alexanne enjoys developing her skills and regularly attends dental courses to further her knowledge. She offers all aspects of general dentistry, including tooth replacement with bridgework and cosmetic dentures, as well as smile design makeovers including tooth straightening and whitening. She is also a facial aesthetician providing advanced anti-wrinkle injections.
Alexanne was honoured to be shortlisted for Young Dentist of the Year at the {my}dentist Excellence Awards and for Best Young Dentist at the Dentistry Awards 2022. She also sits on the {my}dentist Clinical Advisory Board.
Outside of dentistry Alexanne enjoys running and completed three half marathons in 2022 to support the East Lancashire practices in raising money for Dementia UK. She also loves travelling and is an advanced scuba diver, having dived across Southeast Asia, Central America, Mexico and Jordan.

Dr.Ali Asger Mohamedbhai

Ali graduated from Sheffield Dental School in 2008. Ali joined the team at Haslingden in 2011, building a solid patient base and is a valued member of the team. Ali offers both NHS and private treatments including Invisalign teeth straightening, Zoom whitening and Enlighten Whitening. Ali enjoys building his skills, undergoing extra courses, and broadening his scope of practice. Ali is passionate about dentistry and works in a calm and reassuring manner whilst carrying out a high standard of treatment to achieve excellent clinical results. In his spare time he enjoys travelling, spending time with his family and adventure sports.

Dr.Andrew Shaw

Andrew qualified at the University of Manchester Dental School in 1978. He joined the practice in August 2016 having had an interesting and varied career in hospitals, general dental services and working in the community including owning his own practice. Andrew is passionate about providing the best possible care for his patients through offering both NHS services and private treatment. His areas of special interest include oral surgery, orthodontics and endodontics, having attended several courses in those fields.
Andrew has many hobbies including cooking, building and displaying model railways and photography which take up most of his spare time.

Dr.Max Malcolm Martin

Max graduated from Newcastle Dental School in 2017 and worked for {my}dentist in South Wales before joining the Haslingden team in early 2020. He provides all aspects of general dentistry including tooth-coloured fillings, root canal treatments and bespoke tooth replacement. He also offers smile makeovers which can involve teeth straightening and teeth whitening.
Max is dedicated to patient care and his calm manner creates a peaceful treatment environment which particularly helps our anxious patients.
Committed to personal development, Max regularly attends courses to further his clinical skills ensuring his patients receive the highest quality of care and treatment. He has undertaken additional training in oral surgery and takes fantastic care of our patients needing extractions.
At weekends he enjoys playing golf and long-distance running, having completed three half marathons in 2022 to raise money for Dementia UK. He also has a love for travelling, having backpacked in Australia, South East Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Dr.Nafeece Ahmed

Nafeece graduated from Medical University Plovdiv (Bulgaria) in 2022 and joined the team at Haslingden in April 2023. Nafeece enjoys providing all aspects of general dentistry, with a special focus on restorative, prosthetic and cosmetic dentistry. He is currently offering appointments through our affordable private scheme. Nafeece always works in a calm and collected manner whilst ensuring patients are greeted warmly and remain at ease throughout their time in his care. In his spare time, Nafeece enjoys going to the gym, reading, travelling and playing multiple sports to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

Dr.Zafana Mehmood

Zafana graduated from the University of Manchester in 2019.
She has completed dental core training in Maxillofacial Surgery at Bradford Hospitals with Paediatric Dentistry at Leeds Dental Hospital.
Zafana enjoys providing all aspects of general dentistry and offers a range of both NHS and private treatments. Zafana works with a confident and calming manner whilst ensuring to put her patients at ease and deliver a high standard of treatment. Zafana also enjoys building her patient base here at Haslingden.
In her spare time, Zafana enjoys cooking a variety of different cuisines, spending time with her family and socialising with friends.
