Dr.Alex Rengit

Alex acquired professional qualification as an orthodontist in 1988 and then worked as an orthodontist in private practice in Dubai. He has qualification as Specialist in Orthodontics with Membership in Orthodontics MOrth at Royal College of Surgeons of England, Fellowship in Orthodontics FFDOrth at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, MPhil Degree in Orthodontics at the University of Manchester and registration in Specialist List in Orthodontics at the GDC. He’s a member of the British Orthodontic Society and British Dental Association.
Alex has worked as a Specialist Orthodontist in primary care NHS practices and secondary care hospitals in England and Ireland continuously since 2007. He has extensive experience leading specialist orthodontic practices in UK, Republic of Ireland and Dubai. Alex’s expertise includes fixed orthodontic appliances and invisible lingual braces including Incognito, removable and aesthetic orthodontic appliances including Invisalign, and various functional appliances including Twin Block Appliances, for both NHS and private. Alex is an easy-going person and likes to spend time with family and friends. He loves sport including football and cricket, in his leisure time he enjoys playing squash and tennis. Outside his professional work, he is engaged in charity works in the local community he lives.

Dr.Kumar Akundi

Kumar completed his Masters in Orthodontics Degree in 2000. He subsequently has worked in Orthodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at various NHS hospitals in Yorkshire and Bedfordshire and has completed his membership exam in dental surgery.
Since 2011 he has been working as an Orthodontist at Orthoworld in Colchester, Essex.
Kumar is relocating to the Fylde and joins Orthoworld Blackpool in April 2016.
Outside the practice Kumar loves spending time with his family and enjoys travelling and playing tennis.

Dr.Minu Rengit
(Orthodontist)

Minu qualified as a dentist in 1993. After graduation, she worked within a specialist orthodontic practice in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for nearly a decade. Following this, she chose to pursue orthodontics further, joining the postgraduate training programme at the University of Manchester in 2004. She subsequently received a master’s degree in orthodontics with Merit, as well as entry into the specialist list in orthodontics held by the General Dental Council.
Additionally, in 2007, Minu gained membership in orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and later on, a fellowship in the Faculty of Dentistry (Orthodontics), from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. Thereafter, she has been working in various specialist orthodontic practices and hospital posts involving treatment of complex, multidisciplinary and routine cases.
In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, cooking or travelling with friends and family.

Mrs.Tracey Seville-Parkins

Tracey is one of Orthoworld Blackpool's most knowledgeable and experienced Orthodontic Therapists. With over 20 years of experience in the dental field, Tracey started her career in 1999 as a Trainee Dental Nurse in Derbyshire.
Once qualified in 2001 Tracey relocated to Blackpool and joined Orthoworld where she started her training to become a Orthodontic Dental Nurse. During this time Tracey also qualified as an Dental Radiographer, and achieved a qualification in Oral Health Education in 2008.
Tracey's successes did not go unnoticed as she was accepted onto one of the first Orthodontic Therapy courses at Manchester Dental University. Achieving high grades, Tracey was awarded with Most Outstanding Log Book and Reflective Practice.
Once qualified Tracey began gaining more experience within the Blackpool practice carrying out PAR scoring, in which she became calibrated in 2012.
Tracey still shows the same passion for her role as she did twenty years ago. Now working in NHS and Private clinic's Tracey is now one of the most senior members of the team.

Ms.Siobhan O'Farrell

Back in 2003 Siobhan started her career at Orthoworld Blackpool as a Trainee Orthodontic Dental Nurse, here she showed great enthusiasm and dedication to the industry.
Once qualified Siobhan began to gain more responsibility within the practice gaining her Dental Radiography qualification. This then lead Siobhan to gain many other qualifications including, Invisalign Impressions and Ashley Later Communication course.
In 2014 Siobhan then set herself the challenge of studying to become an Orthodontic Therapist. Again, Siobhan found huge success.
Siobhan still continues to push herself every day to develop her skills and knowledge within the dental and orthodontic sector.

Mrs.Maria Melville

Maria started her Orthodontic career in 2009 at just aged 19 as a full time trainee Orthodontic Dental Nurse, qualifying in 2011.
Maria has always shown dedication and determination, making it her goal to become an Orthodontic Therapist. In order to make this a reality Maria used her same determination and gained her radiography and impression qualification in 2012.
This allowed her to expand her Dental Nurse responsibilities within the practice gaining a wealth of experience within both Private and NHS clinics.
Fast forward to 2016, Maria started her diploma in Orthodontic Therapy at Manchester Dental University, where she graduated in June 2017 from the Royal College of Surgeons.
Maria is still working within Orthoworld Blackpool as an Orthodontic Therapist, taking pride within her work, gaining more experience and wisdom each day.
