  • Dr.Ahmed Abdullah (Orthodontist) Qualified from: Registered under s16(2A) Dentists Act 1984, DDS, MDentSci (Paediatric Dent), FRACDS (Paed), PhD (Dent), MHEA (Teaching) MOrth RCSed Reg under s16(2A) Dentists Act 1984, 1984 GDC No: 111234
    On completion of his diploma in Dentistry in 1996, Ahmed worked as a general dental practitioner for about 6 years in both hospital and practice environment. Thereafter, Ahmed completed 2 years of training in paediatric dentistry at Leeds Dental institute and was awarded a Master in Dental Sciences in Paediatric Dentistry degree (2004). This was followed by completion of a PhD degree in dentistry (2009). Ahmed worked as a clinical tutor in Paediatric Dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute between 2008 and 2010 and completed a Certificate in Education, which awarded him a membership status of the Academy of Higher Education, he then joined University of Bristol as academic and completed his training in Orthodontics. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and is on the Specialist Orthodontic Register. Ahmed enjoys all aspects of orthodontics and provides a high quality of care for adults and children.
  • Dr.Colin McMurray (Orthodontist) Qualified from: BDS,MFDS RCS,MSc,MOrth RCS United Kingdom, 1999 GDC No: 76455
    Colin graduated with honours from Newcastle University in 1999. He attained his MFDS qualification at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2002. During his training pathway Colin has gained wide experience with positions as a Senior House Officer at Newcastle Dental Hospital followed by a post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Newcastle General Hospital. Colin completed his specialist orthodontic training as a Registrar at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, attaining his Membership of the Faculty of Orthodontists at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2007. Colin is on the Orthodontic Specialist List and is a member of the British Orthodontic Society. Colin treats NHS patients at our orthodontic centre in Darlington and also provides access for patients at our outreach clinic in Bishop Auckland. Colin also offers private orthodontic treatment, including aesthetic braces and Invisalign clear aligners.
  • Mrs .Carly Locker (Orthodontic Therapists) Qualified from: Dip Orth Therapy UK, 2018 GDC No: 164451
    Carly started her career in Dentistry as a Trainee dental Nurse at Newcastle Dental hospital in 2006 and qualified in 2008 gaining an NVQ Level 3 in Oral Health Care. Since then she has worked in general practice in all aspects of dentistry including oral surgery and Orthodontics. in 2013 Carly decided to leave dentistry and go to University to study Law at Degree level which is something she believed she has wanted to do since being a child. She later realised she missed dentistry and decided to return in 2016. Carly began working with a specialist Orthodontist within {my}dentist at our Killingsworth practice where she was given the opportunity to study for a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapist in 2017 through the Yorkshire Orthodontic Therapy training course. Carly qualified in 2018 as an Orthodontic Therapist and is fully registered with the General Dental Council and The Royal College of Surgeons England. In her spare time, Carly loves visiting other countries with the husband and son. Her interests are Marine Biology and she is looking to study towards her Scuba Diving qualification and learning a second language.
  • Mrs.Christine Robson (Orthodontic Therapists) Qualified from: Dip Orth Therapy UK, 2010 GDC No: 117430
    Christine originally started working as a dental nurse in general practice. In 2008 she moved to a specialist orthodontic practice and retrained as an orthodontic therapist at the University of Central Lancashire, qualifying in December 2010 with a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy from The Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. She also holds a Certificate in Dental radiography. On a day to day basis you will find Christine working in her surgery fitting, adjusting and removing fixed and removable braces. Christine also enjoys working in orthodontics, helping people to smile with confidence, especially those who were particularly self-conscious about their teeth.
