Dr.Gaurav Jamnadass

After qualifying from Newcastle University in 2005, Gaurav had continued to gain experience in most aspects of dentistry. He has attained Diplomas in both Restorative Dentistry & in Implant Dentistry which led him to a Master of Science in Cosmetic Dentistry (with Merit). He continues to focus on the fundamentals of high quality treatment and patient care. He has further training in Sedation techniques, facial aesthetics and has worked in Maxillofacial Surgery as a Senior House Officer. Having built up and run award winning Dental practices in the past, Gaurav now focuses on delivering his high quality treatment here at Killingworth. With his dedication to further education and patient care delivery, he is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons and an Associate Fellow of the College of General Dentistry. On his days off you will see him riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle to Rock music festivals or to a quiet spot for a bit of angling. He is active in charity events and is a volunteer with the Samaritan’s. His friendly & relaxed demeanour makes him popular with his patients and colleagues.

Dr.Judith Muriel Charlton

Judith is an experienced Specialist Orthodontist. She finds the job very rewarding, having seen the impact that straightening teeth has on self esteem in both children and adults. She specialises in all fixed appliances including metal, ceramic and Damon as well as Invisalign clear aligners. Judith believes it is best to create a natural smile wherever possible, using natural teeth and enhancing them through whitening procedures to achieve highly aesthetic results.
Judith belongs to the British Orthodontic Society, British Dental Association and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She has published several research papers and has presented these at international dental conferences. She goes to schools to teach children about dental health and supports local children’s charities
Outside of work Judith enjoys spending time with friends and family, long walks with her dogs Bruno and Jack and loves going to spinning classes.

Dr.Karrar Al-Zubaidy

After qualifying in 2020 from Peninsula Dental School, Karrar established his career in the North East between general practice and dental hospital - gaining experience within all dental specialties. Karrar uses his artistic workflow to enhance patient smiles using various composite techniques, teeth whitening and Karrar has recently completed his training in providing clear teeth straightening.
Karrar is a workaholic and dedicates his time to dentistry, there is nothing he loves more than transforming patients' smiles.
In his spare time, he loves to get out on the Northumberland coast with family and friends, and enjoys the year-round waves on his skateboard.

Dr.Oliver Dickson

Oliver graduated from Newcastle University Dental School in 2017. He passed with a merit in Academic Dentistry. He is originally from Northern Ireland but continued living in Newcastle to provide both NHS and private dentistry, which he loves. When it comes to treating patients, Oliver is an attentive listener and recognises that each patient is unique and builds individual treatment plans to suit their needs. Oliver provides teeth starightening options such as ClearCorrect to his patients along with composite bonding. In his spare time, Oliver loves playing guitar in his home-made recording studio and going to the gym regularly.

Dr.Oluwafunmilayo Akinbola

Oluwafunmilayo (known to her patients as Funmi) obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Honours) Degree from University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2011. After working within the hospital and private general dental practice for the next few years, she went on to gain a Master of Medical Science degree in Diagnostic Oral Pathology from University of Sheffield in 2016. She completed her statutory examination and registration with the General Dental Council, UK in 2017/2018. Funmi currently delivers General Dental services within NHS and Private practice. In her spare time Funmi runs an African inspired clothing brand showcasing bright and colourful traditional African prints.

Dr.Sadia Bokhari

Sadia started her career in Pakistan after graduating in 2001 and worked in hospitals and private facilities. Sadia started working as a general dentist in 2012 in the UK. As a strong believer in learning, Sadia completed a Postgraduate certificate in Prosthodontics and Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics and is currently a Member of British Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society. She has developed herself as a dentist with special interest in Orthodontics. She offers fixed braces, clear aligners and several cosmetic treatments. Sadia regularly attends conferences and courses to keep up with the recent technologies and advancements in general dentistry and in Orthodontics to benefit her patients. She is also member of British Orthodontic Society and European Orthodontic Society. In her spare time she is a busy wife and mum of three boys, loves to have family gatherings, watching movies and series in her own time.

Dr.Sergejs Grihanovs

Sergejs qualified in 2007 in Latvia and carried on his studying to complete Post Graduate courses in Implantology. Sergejs has had a special interest in implantology since 2012 and has completed over a dozen courses within the field. His most recent conquest is to complete a 3 year long training course with European Association for Osseointegration to achieve a Master Diploma in Implant Dentistry. Sergejs is keen to accept both simple and complex cases and often has a solution to most cases.
Despite being constantly on the move to learn the latest techniques, Sergejs loves to relax in the sun and you will often find him jetting off and topping off his impressive tan!

Mr.Ruairi Leonard

Ruairi qualified in 2019 from Queens University Belfast. He has a passion for cosmetic dentistry providing minimally invasive treatments to straighten and enhance smiles. He is currently undertaking a post graduate diploma is cosmetic and restorative dentistry in London with international lecturer Monik Vasant.
Ruairi also provides bespoke anatomy driven facial rejuvenation aesthetic treatments. He believes patient care and listening to patients are at the heart of dentistry and he always strives to provide a desirable experience for his patients.
Outside of work Ruairi enjoys keeping fit and partakes in CrossFit, socialising with family and friends and enjoys rugby.

Mrs.Aqsa Burki

Aqsa qualified in 2006 in Pakistan, she then successfully passed her ORE Exam in 2013, leading to her registering with the GDC in 2014. She has vast experience in all fields of dentistry and is passionate about cosmetic dentistry, fixed and removeable prosthodontics, smile makeovers, veneers, crowns, bridges and whitening. She is also trained to carry out tooth wear cases and is currently enrolled in MClinDent in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at King's College London. Aqsa also provides Invisalign Go as part of short term orthodontics.
In her spare time, she loves listening to music, spending time with her family and reading her favourite book.

Mrs.Flavia Vale Gagliardi

Flavia was born in Rio de Janeiro and graduated from Fernando Pessoa's University in Porto, Portugal in 2015. Shortly after qualifying she moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne where she has been living and working ever since. Flavia has a constant drive for improving her knowledge and skills and loves all things dentistry and is committed to making her patients happy and feel completely at ease. Flavia has a great energy which rubs off on everyone around her. In her spare time Flavia loves traveling with her husband and son but hates leaving her Persian Cat Mouse alone for too long!

Lisa is an Orthodontic Therapist who started off her career in 1999 as a dental nurse. Lisa then progressed onto working in an Orthodontic practice which enabled her to progress on and qualify in Orthodontic Nursing, then moving into her dream job of becoming an Orthodontic Therapist.
After 20 years in general and orthodontic nursing she was given a place at University of Central Lancashire through The Royal College of Surgeons, and successfully qualified in December 2020. Lisa loves to be able to help give her patients their confidence to smile again and loves to be a huge part of their journey from the beginning, right to the very end.
Outside of work, Lisa loves nothing more than spending quality time with her partner and their dog.

Ms.Karen Mandle

Karen qualified as a dental hygienist from Newcastle Dental hospital with merit in 2002. Her OCD ensured she gained the highest clinical grade of her year and this still drives her to provide the best care she can for her patients to the present day.
She has worked in general practice providing both NHS and private treatment across Newcastle and surrounding area.
Out of work she likes nothing more than pulling on her walking boots and dragging her family and dog out for long walks both here and the Lake District where she’s from (providing it’s not raining too hard!!)
