Dr. Alex Goranov, Ph.D. DDM, Specialist in Oral Surgery
Alex's journey began at the Medical University in Sofia, graduating as a dentist. He advance his his knowledge attending courses in London, Sofia, Zurich, and Vienna. He made his Oral surgery specialisation in The Department of Oral and Maxillo-facial Surgery, Medical University Sofia and is on the General Dental Council specialist list for Oral Surgery with more than 21 years of clinical experience as a dentist, surgeon and tutor. He is an opinion leader for AB and Ankylos dental implants and he has trained many colleagues in this field.
After previously working at mydentist Durham Bridge House from 2011 to 2014 at the earlier stages of his career, he has now rejoined the Durham Team in 2025, a place he fondly refers to as 'home' as a vastly experienced Dentist and specialist in Oral Surgery.
Alex also has a special interest in fixed orthodontics and has also served as a dento-legal expert, offering his insights in both Bulgarian and UK courts.
Alex cherishes the time spent with his family, especially reading to his sons. His passion also extends to writing, with several novels to his name.
