mydentist Victoria Place and Aglionby Street, Carlisle, propose merge and relocation to new practice

We’re pleased to share an important update for patients at mydentist Victoria Place and mydentist Aglionby Street, Carlisle. As part of our continued commitment to improving access to high-quality dental care in the local community, we’re proposing to merge and relocate both practices to a new, purpose-designed site on St Cuthberts Lane.

The proposed new practice will be located in Carlisle city centre, at the former House of Fraser site, behind the new Tesco, at:

  • mydentist St Cuthberts Lane
  • St Cuthberts Lane
  • Off English Street
  • Carlisle
  • CA3 8HU

The move would bring both practices together in a larger, more modern location, with improved facilities, increased appointment availability and better accessibility for patients.

Importantly, the relocation would also allow us to access additional NHS funding, helping us increase capacity and provide NHS dental care to more patients across Carlisle.

As part of this proposal, we’re inviting patients at both practices to share their views and feedback before any plans are finalised.

What you can expect at mydentist St Cuthberts Lane

Our proposed new St Cuthberts Lane practice would be designed to provide a more comfortable, accessible and modern environment for patients, colleagues and the wider community.

With our existing practices reaching full capacity, the larger premises would allow us to welcome more patients, improve access to appointments and continue delivering the high standard of care you expect.

If the relocation goes ahead, patients would benefit from:

  • Extended opening hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Convenient parking, with several pay-and-display car parks within easy walking distance
  • Excellent public transport links, with nearby bus stops and frequent local services
  • Increased capacity to help reduce waiting times and improve access to NHS dental care
  • A full range of NHS and private dental treatments
  • Modern surgeries equipped with the latest dental technology
  • Ground-floor surgeries for easier access
  • Improved accessibility for wheelchair users and patients with additional mobility needs
  • A more comfortable waiting area and upgraded patient facilities

Our clinicians and practice teams would also move to the new premises, meaning you would continue to receive care from the same dental teams you already know and trust.

What do patients at mydentist Victoria Place and Aglionby Street need to know?

At this stage, the merger and relocation are proposals, and we’re inviting patients from both practices to share their views as part of our patient consultation process.

Your feedback is important to us and will help shape our plans for the new practice, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of patients and the wider community.

In the meantime, please continue to attend your appointments at your current Victoria Place or Aglionby Street practice as usual.

We’ll keep patients updated as plans progress and share further information about the proposed relocation in due course.
