Did you know you could donate your unwanted dental metals to charity?

At mydentist, we’re really passionate about raising money for charity, especially our chosen charity of the year, Children with Cancer UK!

We raise lots of money around the business through fundraising events, and last year we introduced a brand new initiative called Star Refining, whereby our practice teams offer patients the chance to donate their unwanted metals such as crowns and bridges. These are then melted down and cashed in – with ALL of the profits going to Children with Cancer UK.

Since the initiative was introduced back in December 2014, we’ve raised over £14,000 for Children with Cancer UK, and we plan on making this number much much bigger!!

We need you
They’re your metals!

At the end of the day, they’re your property and once taken out, you can do what you want with your unwanted crowns and bridges. If you’re a patient at a mydentist practice and you want to donate your unwanted metals to our cause, mention it to your dentist and they will have a Star Refining collection pot in their surgery!

Children with Cancer UK

Almost 4,000 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. That's ten every day. Children with Cancer UK want to help more children with cancer across the UK. That's why they invest millions of pounds every year in essential research, welfare and campaigning programmes to save young lives.
