We’ve won RoSPA gold for the second year running

by Lee Waring | Aug 03, 2016

We’re absolutely delighted that for the second year running, we’ve achieved the gold standard at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2016.

We were recently presented with the award during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on 13th July.

Steve Williams, our clinical services director recently said: “We’re delighted to have been recognised again by RoSPA and awarded with its gold award.

“I am very proud to lead such a committed team of professionals and this award is a direct reflection of all their dedication, hard-work and the care each and every one of our employees takes to provide clinically excellent, safe and welcoming dentistry to our eight million patients.”

The continued success demonstrates our commitment to maintaining standards having achieved the RoSPA Gold Award, as well as a QSA Platinum Award in 2015. This year, the RoSPA Awards celebrates its 60th anniversary of presenting highly-regarded and sought after accolades to businesses and organisations which have shown commitment to accident and ill-health prevention.

Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Gold medals, president’s awards and orders of distinction are presented by RoSPA to organisations sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, adds: “To win an award at such a highly-regarded event as the RoSPA Awards is a great achievement for our winners. It recognises their commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record and raises the bar for other organisations to aspire to. We offer mydentist our congratulations.”

Well done to the Health and Safety team (and all our teams who’ve contributed) - a well-deserved accolade!
