by Lee Waring | Jul 25, 2016

When it comes to cosmetic treatments like Anti-Aging procedures, there’s all sorts of information floating about to confuse you. Who do you trust to perform the procedure? What do they entail? Will it hurt?

It’s always best to speak to a registered professional before you decide to go ahead with a procedure. But, to get you started, here’s some more information about the Anti-Aging treatments we offer at mydentist, which include Dermal Fillers, Cosmetic Fillers and Dermarollers.

  • Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are injected under your skin to restore the firmness and smoothness associated with youth. Thinner fillers can eradicate lines from around the lips, mouth and forehead (including crow‘s feet). Thicker fillers can add volume to hollow cheeks and fill out deep acne or other scars, and to enhance lips. Dermal fillers normally last 4-8 months, but this varies depending on the person and area of the face
  • Cosmetic fillers
Using facial muscles often results in deep frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet. With a simple injection into the affected area, underlying muscles responsible for wrinkling are temporarily relaxed, giving your face a more relaxed appearance. The wrinkles become smoother, and can disappear altogether. Initial effects of treatment may become visible after 7-10 days, with the optimal effect normally reached within 2-3 weeks.
  • Dermarollers
Dermarollers are made of thousands of tiny needle columns. They work below the surface to naturally regenerate and repair skin. This can lead to smoother, healthier, younger looking skin, and can help improve scarring. As new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to six weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair which continue over the following months
