Kevin Beeston

Chairman of IDH Group

Kevin Beeston is an experienced chairman of both public and private companies. He has been Senior Independent Director of FTSE 100 utility Severn Trent plc since 2016 and is also Chairman of Elysium Healthcare Limited (for BC Partners) and a Non-Executive Director of the FA Premier League.

Kevin was Chairman of FTSE 100 UK developer and homebuilder Taylor Wimpey plc from 2010 to 2020 and previously Chairman of Serco Group plc until 2010 during a 25-year career with the Company, including the roles of Executive Chairman from 2002 and previously Chief Executive and also Chief Financial Officer. On leaving Serco the business had developed from a small private business into a FTSE100 constituent with revenues and market cap of c£5bn.

Kevin’s other previous roles have included Chairman of Equiniti Group plc, the FTSE 250 financial technology and payments company (2011-2017) both in public and private ownership (Advent International), Chairman of Domestic and General Limited (CVC and previously Advent International owned), a provider of extended warranty services (2008 to 2015), Chairman of Partnerships in Care (Cinven owned), a specialist provider of mental health services (2007 to 2014), a Non-Executive Director of UK Engineering group IMI plc (2005 to 2012), a Non-Executive Director of Marston Group Limited (ICG owned), a transport technology and enforcement business (2016-2020) and a Director of Ipswich Town Football Club (2003 to 2008). In addition, Kevin was an Operating Partner of private equity firm Advent International from 2008-2017.

Kevin was previously Chairman of the CBI’s Public Services Strategy Board (2006-2009), promoting the role business has in transforming the UK’s public services and also served on the TUC’s Commission on Vulnerable Employment.
