- Student dental nurse Min rate £10.18 per hour £10.42 for age 23 and over plus £500 bonus on qualifying*
- Dental Nurse Min rate £10.70 per hour
- Dental Nurse (2+ years GDC reg) Min rate £10.87 per hour
- Dental Nurse (4+ years GDC reg) Min rate £11.04 per hour
- Dental Nurse (6+ years GDC reg) Min rate £11.21 per hour
- Area Support Nurse (Float Nurse) Min rate £11.38 per hour
- Advanced Dental Nurse Min rate £11.61 per hour
- Head Nurse Min rate £11.90 per hour
*Some practices also offer an additional hours rate premium depending on location.
Life of a Dental Nurse at {my}dentist
Life as a Dental Nurse is rewarding, exciting, and challenging in the best way. At {my}dentist, you’ll have the support of your practice team, and our central support teams, to help you succeed.
Daily duties include:
- Checking patient notes in the morning and setting up surgeries for the day, from checking equipment and disinfecting surfaces to preparing instrument trays.
- Greeting patients and working with dentists in treatment by providing instruments, or even just chatting with the patients during procedures.
- Advising patients on consent forms, procedures, and basic oral healthcare post-treatment.
- Stock-takes and closing down surgeries at the end of the day.
