International Nurses Day

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world on 12 May, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth.

{my}dentist wants to pay tribute and say a huge thank you to all our Dental Nurses and Student Dental Nurses, who have played an essential role in allowing us to treat, care and support our patients in practice.

Nurse colleagues have not only supported patients during treatment, but have also helped vulnerable patients, delivered food packages during lockdown, called patients to check on them as well as being redeployed to other practices or to emergency dental centres.

Nyree Whitley, Group Clinical Director, said, “Within dentistry, we know the crucial role of Dental Nurses in delivering effective patient care. I am extremely proud of our Dental Nurse colleagues and the work they have delivered over the past 12 months during the pandemic. Our nurses have been at the forefront of the care we have been able to provide and should be recognised for the professionalism, hard work and expertise that they have shown.”

Every month, we celebrate our #dentalnurseheroes.
