Below you’ll find the categories and the qualifying criteria for this year’s Excellence Awards. Each set of criteria is based on a combination of role, behavioural and skills-based achievements, along with our People Values, We respect each other, We grow together and We achieve as one.

Use of AI in nominations
We welcome the use of AI tools to support you in shaping and refining your nomination, for example by helping to structure your writing or clarify key points. However, nominations must reflect genuine, first‑hand experience and insight. Due to a significant increase in fully AI‑generated submissions in 2025, any nominations submitted this year that appear to be wholly AI‑generated will not be progressed to judging. All nominations must be written in your own voice and include specific, concrete examples to evidence the statements made and showcase the true impact of the individual or team being nominated.
All nominees for this category must be 35 years old or over at the time of nominating.
