Joining mydentist as a Dental Nurse

Are you a skilled and ambitious dental nurse with an innate talent for caring for and supporting patients? You’ll fit right in at mydentist.

With nearly 600 practices across the UK, we’re always on the lookout for experienced nurses ready to take on a new challenge alongside our many fantastic practice teams, providing support for clinicians and helping provide the highest quality care to every patient.

At mydentist, we’ve invested over £4m into training, development, and salaries for our nursing teams in the last year alone, to ensure they’re equipped to be the best they can be. As part of our team, you’ll be fully supported in creating the career you want whilst doing a job where you make a real difference.

Our hiring process

Stage 1

You’ll apply (or be headhunted) for one of our available nursing roles.

Stage 2

You’ll then be contacted by a recruiter as a potential candidate based on your CV and will undergo a pre-screening interview with them to see if you would be a good fit.

Stage 3

Following the pre-screen interview, your details will be sent to the Practice Manager at the practice where the role is based, who will conduct a first stage interview with you, either face to face or via Teams call.

Stage 4

This will be followed by a second stage interview.

Stage 5

If you’re successful, you’ll receive a conditional offer from the recruiter or from the Practice Manager. Once you’ve accepted the offer, you’ll receive your contract and onboarding documents. You’ll then attend an onboarding meeting in-practice.

Stage 6

Prior to your start date, your Practice Manager will put together your induction, and let you know both your start date and what you’ll be doing on your first day.

Why become a Dental Nurse?

To help others

Dental Nurses play a crucial role in assisting our clinicians in providing quality care, both in-surgery, where they support with equipment and procedures, and in supporting the patient experience. Some patients can be very nervous and anxious about visiting the dentist, and a supportive and friendly nurse can make all the difference.

Competitive pay

Dental nurse salaries are very competitive and will increase based on your level of experience. At mydentist, nurses can expect a competitive salary up to £23,920 (depending on experience).

Career progression

As a dental nurse, you’ll have plenty of opportunities for advancement and specialisation to create a nursing career that works for you. At mydentist, we’ve invested heavily in CPD via our Academy, which provides world-leading training and development for our nurses.

Additional benefits

Becoming a Dental Nurse at mydentist will also mean you’ll get access to industry-leading benefits including a pension contribution of 3%, Life Assurance, your professional and indemnity fees covered, long service awards every five years, access to discounts at nearly 200 high street restaurants and retailers.
