Donald has been working in private practices in the North of Scotland for a number of years. This has given him the opportunity to hone his skills in all aspects of general dental practice, ensuring he can provide a high quality of care and bring an extensive experience of general dentistry.
He participated in the Scottish Dental Implant course from this he gained a certificate in dental implantology. He has also now recently completed and received a diploma in Oral Implantology and Rehabilitation. This has enabled him to carry out straight forward and complex implant placements, to do bone grafting, sinus elevations and soft tissue grafting. Donald is also an active member of the ITI.
He is interested in many aspects of dentistry, particularly Restorative and Periodontal dentistry. Donald regularly attends courses to maintain his Continuing Professional Development to ensure his skills are up to date.
Gareth is our visiting Restorative Consultant and honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer from Glasgow Dental Hospital offering bespoke implant treatment.
Qualifying in 2008 in Glasgow, Gareth worked full time in general practice and then focused on a career in Restorative Dentistry. He began his postgraduate education in Newcastle Dental Hospital before returning to Glasgow Dental Hospital where he completed his specialist training in Restorative Dentistry.
Gareth particularly enjoys Periodontics (which includes dental implants).His hard work has been recognised nationally having received clinical awards from numerous Specialist Societies. Gareth also has a keen interest in education and engages with various professional bodies for undergraduates and postgraduate teaching in the UK and abroad.
Outside of work Gareth is a bit of a petrol head. Otherwise you can find him in a squash court, on a climbing wall, or in the kitchen baking.
Gareth is happy to accept referrals from clinicians in the surrounding area to carry out implant and periodontal treatments.
