About mydentist, Haverflatts Lane, Milnthorpe

Welcome to {my}dentist Milnthorpe. We are in the beautiful Westmorland area in the South Lakes, approximately 7 miles from Kendal and a stone throw away from the well known and stunning Lake District. The practice has been caring for patients smiles for over 20 years through both NHS and Private treatments. We have long serving dentists at the practice, some of which have been with us since 2013! The practice offers all aspects of general dentistry, plus specialist root canal treatments, tooth whitening and cosmetic treatments which include Airflow stain removal. Our clinical team is made up of 3 dentists and 1 hygienist, who are all passionate about the treatments they provide. We also have a dedicated team of qualified dental nurses and receptionists, who all strive to provide the very best care to all patients. We hope to welcome you at the practice soon! Our awards

Your clinicians

  • Dr.Shehnaz Azhar Qualified from: Lond United Kingdom, 1985 GDC No: 60841
    Dr Shehnaz Azhar qualified in 1985 from King’s College / University of London. Her experience spans over 30 years in General Dentistry in the UK as well as the UAE. She is committed to continued education and keeping up to date with new technologies and procedures, regularly attending seminars and hands-on courses. She seeks to find the most optimal treatment plan for each patient guided by the latest dentistry practices and technologies. Dr Shehnaz obtained Masters degree in Endodontics in 2018 and is now working as a General Dentist with special interest in Endodontics. She is able to treat non-surgical Endodontic cases including re treatment cases under an operating microscope allowing more precision and predictable results. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, perfecting her culinary skills as well as, enjoying the beautiful Lake District area where she lives.
  • Mrs.Tumpa Bharati Qualified from: LDS England, 2013 GDC No: 242121
    Tumpa qualified from The Royal College of Surgeons in 2013 and has worked in the {my}dentist Milnthorpe practice since 2018. She offers all aspects of general dentistry to a high standard, and is a much loved clinician by both staff and patients. She is always wanting to broaden the choices of treatments she is able to offer her patients, and will be offering clear aligners for tooth straightening in the practice in 2024. Tumpa also has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and will soon be adding composite bonding onto her list of talents. When she isn't in surgery providing excellent dental care, Tumpa can be found at home with her gorgeous young family.
  • Ms.Scarlet Byron (Hygienist) Qualified from: BSc(hons) England, 2023 GDC No: 278256
    Scarlet started her career in dentistry as a dental nurse, but soon decided she wanted to continue her education to become a hygiene/therapist. She qualified from UCLan with a first in 2023 and first of all joined the Kirkby Lonsdale practice as a therapist. When a position became available in the Milnthorpe practice for a hygienist, Scarlet did not hesitate to join our amazing team. Scarlet is passionate about Oral Health, and spends valuable time with her patients, educating them on the best ways to keep their pearly whites in tip top condition. In her spare time, Scarlet can be found caring for her rescued Shetland ponies and bunnies.
