Dr.Ailie Monro

Ailie graduated with BDS Honours from the university of London in 2001. Since 2001, she has spent her time in and around the Plymouth area where she had fallen in love with Dartmoor.
Ailie has been at the Whitehouse since 2012, where she sees most of our young patients and families. She is a strong believer in prevention, and making a trip to visit us as fun as possible for all our children.
Ailie has recently undertaken Invisalign Go! Training, and is now able to offer simple orthodontic treatment with clear braces. She is also able to provide a range of cosmetic treatments and particularly enjoys helping patients create the smile they have always wanted.
Ailie is also a member of Denplan and {my}dentist Plan if you prefer to spread the costs of your dental care monthly.
When not at work, Ailie can be found ferrying her 2 girls to various activities, chasing the dog around the woods or just relaxing with a good book!

Dr.Amaka Okengwu

Amaka qualified as a Dentist in 2008 from the University of Benin, Nigeria. She then started postgraduate training culminating in an Associate Fellowship from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
She joined the South Brent team in May 2022 as a Dental Care Professional and is now fully registered with GDC as a Dentist having completed her UK qualification exams.
Amaka is a member of both the Royal College of Surgeons England (Faculty of Dental Surgery) and the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.
She also has a Diploma in primary Care Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland.
Amaka is able to cater to all your general dentistry needs and is passionate about providing her patients with the dental knowledge that enables an informed involvement in their oral healthcare
Her hobbies include traveling and enjoying different culinary experiences.

Dr.Reshmi Khimji

Reshmi, originally from Lancashire, has a BSc (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh and then went on to obtain her BDS Dentistry Degree from the European University of Madrid in 2018. After her studies abroad she move back to the UK and has since been enjoying the beauty of the South West.
Reshmi joined the Plympton Team in 2020 and brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to her patient care. She is a firm believer in educating her patients on the tip and tricks to maintaining a healthy mouth, with a conservative approach to treatment.
Reshmi is able to provide all your general dentistry needs, including cosmetic work.
Outside of work, Reshmi's hobbies include live music and enjoying exploring coastal walks.

Dr.Richard Aldridge
(Dental Implant Surgeon)

Richard qualified in 2002 from Guys hospital in London and later gained membership to the Royal College of surgeons in 2004. He moved to Plymouth in 2007 to be nearer the sea. The plan was to indulge his passion for scuba diving although 3 energetic dogs, and a daughter have somewhat got in the way of this.
In 2007 he embarked on a number of courses aimed at improving his interest in cosmetic dentistry and facial anaesthetics. These included courses in wrinkle relaxing injection, facial fillers and chemical peels, Invisalign braces and Six month smiles. In 2014 Richard completed a course at the Eastman hospital in dental implants. This is shortly to be followed with a course in sinus lift procedures.
Richard has been a regular in the Plymouth Herald featuring in both ‘ask the expert’ section and heading ‘drop a decade’ makeover team.
Richard offers both routine dentistry to his regular list of patients together with an increasingly more cosmetic procedures and implant focused treatment plans for patients referred to him.

Dr.Sagar Ashok Karandikar

Dr Sagar Karandikar (BDS Mumbai) joined the company in 2006. He has worked as the Lead Clinician in our Estover Practice since 2014. Sagar joined Plympton Practice in June 2021.
Sagar offers a wide range of private treatments such as cosmetic fillings, dentures, teeth whitening and teeth straightening treatments such as Clear Correct
Dr Sagar has been offering Facial Aesthetics since 2011, helping patients with their appearance offering treatments such as wrinkle removal, lip fillers and dermal fillers
As a hobby, Sagar is currently working towards an Open University Science Degree. This includes a wide range of subjects from astronomy to genetics and evolution.

Miss.Megan Kohler

Megan is a qualified dental nurse and has worked within the NHS and Private sector. Megan joined the Plympton practice in 2019. From her experience in surgery she has built a passion for cosmetic dentistry such as smile-makeovers including ClearCorrect and whitening!
Megan enjoys sharing her knowledge with patients by talking them through their treatment plans to make them feel at ease. To give our Patients the best experience possible, Megan has completed courses in Basic Dental Implants, Intraoral Scanning and Short-Term Ortho.
In her spare time, Megan likes to explore new places and spend time with her family and friends.

Mrs.Elizabeth Higgins

Liz graduated from Bristol University Dental Hospital in 2007 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene.
She grew up in Plymouth and loves being close to the sea, so moved back to the area upon graduating.
Liz has worked at the Whitehouse part-time since qualifying as well as other practices in the Plymouth area.
She is passionate about her role and helping patients maintain all aspects of their oral care. She has a gentle touch, is kind and understanding and takes pride in her ability to build confidence in nervous patients.
Outside work Liz enjoys running, keeping fit, swimming and walking her dog. She also has 2 young boys which keeps her very busy.

Ms.Caroline Abernethy

Caroline has worked within the {my}dentist family since 2012 and settled in the Plympton Practice in 2016 enjoying the variety of work it provides.
Caroline has been a Plymouth resident for over 30 years with 2 grown children. Her hobby list is quite extensive but has a real passion for Tennis which she has been playing since the age of 11 years old.
In the field of Dentistry, Caroline spent her first 13 years in the Royal Navy and subsequently in Plymouth at various mixed Practices having an interest in Periodontal Disease.
Caroline prides herself on being understanding to all her patient’s dental requirements. Caroline enjoys a chat but will always listen sympathetically, putting patients at ease.

Ms.Emma Duncalf

Emma has worked in dentistry since 2013, qualifying as a Dental Therapist & Dental Hygienist in 2020 and joined the Crescent {my}dentist team as a Hygienist in April 2022. Emma has grown up in Devon and enjoys activities such as horse riding, dog walking and surfing. Emma tailors her dental hygiene appointments and treatment plans to the individual person, from anxious patients, patients that have never seen a dental hygienist before, to patients that have appointments every three months. Emma is passionate about providing people with the knowledge to empower themselves to take control of their oral health and overall wellbeing.
