Welcome to mydentist Clarendon Road, Hinckley. Our 13 clinicians cover a variety of NHS and private treatment including aligner treatments including Invisalign and Clear Correct as well as hygiene appointments with our experienced hygienists Upaasna Gaju, Saher Sikander and Rebecca Montenegro. Within our team we also have Dr Imtiaz Patel who is an expert in denture treatment, having achieved a qualification in Denture Excellence. We also provide implant treatment with Dr Hind Sinan and an array of facial aesthetic treatments with Dr Jelena Mihailova. We also have two clinicians offering private endodontic treatment. We can offer finance options including those bearing no interest. An intraoral scanner is also used for efficient lab work fabrication and for smile make-overs. There is a large car park at the practice which includes a space for disabled parking and we are a 5 minute walk from Hinckley train station and town centre. If you have any questions or would like to book in for a consultation, the team would love to hear from you. We welcome all patients to our practice and ensure all individuals are treated with the upmost care and attention.

  • Dr.Jelena Mihailova Qualified from: Degree of Dentist, graduated Riga Stradins University 2006 Latvia, 2007 GDC No: 116203
    Dr. Jelena Mihailova joined the surgery in Hinckley in 2016. Jelena graduated in Latvia from Rigas Stradins University and gained her General Dentist (BDS) degree in 2006. She is very passionate about dentistry and provides a calming and positive journey for her patients. Jelena has attended numerous orthodontic courses over the years and currently uses Invisalign and Clear Correct teeth straightening systems which enable her to treat cases known as, " Align, Bleach and Bond". She can also offer treatments with the Smile Fast system. Dr. Mihailova is enjoying complex restorative treatments and smile makeovers. To support her knowledge in restorative treatments, she has achieved an MSc Prosthodontics degree with Merit in UCLAN University, Preston. She regularly attends courses in various aspects of dentistry and provides a comprehensive range of dental treatments including cosmetic treatments. From July 2021, she will be able to offer her patients anti-wrinkle and facial filler procedures.
  • Dr.Mohammad Waqas Tahir Qualified from: BDS UK, 2015 GDC No: 258262
    Dr Waqas Tahir graduated from the Universities of Exeter & Plymouth in 2015. He has continued his professional development with a wide range of courses to provide a variety of cosmetic and restorative treatments. Waqas has a friendly and welcoming approach and aims to build trust with all his patients, offering a personalised service and inspiring patients to take great care of their oral health. He has a passion to treat anxious patients successfully with a calm and reassuring approach. He always endeavours to provide the highest level of care and quality treatment with the patient’s best interests at heart. Waqas loves to provide ethical and minimally invasive treatments with great emphasis on aftercare ensuring all patients leave with peace of mind. He offers a range of teeth straightening options using market leading systems for cosmetic braces and removable aligners like Six Month Smiles, QST, Invisalign and Clear Correct. He also has a keen interest in dentures, successfully treating challenging cases and providing natural looking teeth that blend into your smile.     Dr I Patel graduated from Liverpool University in 1995 and has been practicing as a GDP for 20 years. Although he enjoys all aspects of dentistry, his dedicated area of interest is dentures. As part of his passion and commitment, he embarked on further training which lead him to the pinnacle in achieving a qualification in Denture Excellence. This has given him the experience and skills to provide denture solutions to patients which have both cosmetics and comfort as a priority. Further to this, he is highly experienced in tailoring them for patients who have often struggled to wear dentures comfortably in the past. He has many patients attesting to the excellent level and satisfaction of dentures provided for them. His philosophy as a dentist is to treat patients as you would expect to treat yourself and have a gentle, friendly, reassuring approach especially with those who are anxious.
  • Dr.Ravinder Gill Qualified from: DMD Hungary 2011, VT Swansea 2012, 2011 GDC No: 213409
    Ravinder Graduated from the University of Hungary in 2011, His ethos is to provide quality dentistry with reliable results in a relaxed and friendly environment. He is an experienced practitioner who likes to combine the aesthetic side of dentistry with functionality , as a result he likes to look at the whole picture when treating patients. Patients say he has a warm and friendly approach, always taking the time to listen and construct the appropriate treatment plans along with the patient . He is routinely attending courses and seminars to expand his knowledge and keep up to date with the latest technology, in his areas of interest Restorative dentistry and also in Root canals. Ravinder has completed his PG cert in restorative dentistry and this helps him in assessing how his restorations not only look but how they operate.

    Harminder qualified from the prestigious Kings College London in 1993. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, removable dentures, and teeth whitening. Harminder works on keeping up to date with her continued professional development. She has also undertaken a Masterclass in Aesthetic Dentistry at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute in London. In over 20 years of practicing dentistry Harminder has a easygoing, calm and relaxed approach to dentistry, and as a result is able to form good relationships with her patients, she has the ability to give them sound advice as well as have a laugh with them.

What are dental implants?
Dental implants are a fixed solution for missing teeth that are the closest possible replacement for natural teeth. They involve one or more titanium screws being inserted into your jawbone to mimic a natural tooth root. Dental crowns are securely attached to these to fill the gaps in your mouth.   • Consultation Your initial consultation will be with either our Implant Surgeon or Treatment Coordinator (TCO), who can discuss the different types of implants, single or multiple depending on your need. Following this there may be a need for a more clinical focused consultation.

  • Diagnostic Scans We will carry out a number of digital scans, to build a digital 3D model of your mouth so we can get a clear picture of the area we will place the implant, and a more detailed X-ray using a Cone Beam Computer Tomography scanner so that our Implant surgeon can assess the state of the bone below the gum to get a really clear picture of your treatment need.

  • Treatment Plan Once our experienced implant surgeon has assessed all of you scans they will explain the nature of your treatment, the stages involved and costs. We offer flexible payment options to make implants even more affordable.

  • Commence Treatment Once you are happy we will begin treatment. The length and numbers of appointments will vary depending on the complexity of your particular need, but your Implant Surgeon will have detailed all of this in your treatment plan.

  • Implant Placed Once the implant(s) are placed it may be necessary it might be necessary to allow time for healing before attaching the replacement teeth. Once we are happy the implant has healed we will arrange a series of appointments to fabricate the replacement teeth.

  • Aftercare Your Implant Surgeon will advise you about looking after your implant and may well give you some painkillers to help with the pain over the days after your surgery as well as detailed advice about cleaning the implants and the teeth attached to them.
